if u are ready to commit for this long. u should be able to make a profit out of ur investments

its good to think about investment at your age. you can start investing by buying good classic investment books and invest in yourself. Save up until you get enough capital to invest. Dun waste money on those savings (endowment) that is sold by mrt insruance agents. those investment linked also got product if not usecorrectly

u can invest in investment and financial books. at ur age, gaining the knowledge is the best investment u can have.

unless u have capital, u can get ur parent to invest on ur behalf, since the legal age to open a brokage account is 21.

insurance okay la... young age u get low premium for investment linked policies. but as u grow older u pay for ur mortality oso.

for traditional plans u pay a slightly higher premium compared to investment plans for the same coverage but its a flat rate. u will stay at that amt when u are old.

its quite even out =p

ILP gives u a "discount" when u are young and charge u when u are older.
traditional policies gives u a flat rate for mortality charge from the date u start.
