Is this the same as bulimia

if i eat chocolate and never swallow it and i puke them melted/chewed chocolate out?
But i drink my water and eat my meals normally?

Does it apply to other unhealthy food like potato chips and ice cream instead of chocolate?

Re: Is this the same as bulimia

Um...do you know what Bulimia actually means? It is a period of almost starvation followed by a break in control/will that leads to a sudden binging. Which later creates a guilt and regret manifested most commonly as a purging.

In other words, vomiting is just a symptom. The actual disorder is the cycle of starvation and over-consumption. As you said, you eat normal meals and have a normal diet apart from the mild purging that you do. So no, I wouldn't say that you've developed Bulimia...yet.

Be careful with such behaviors as they are not always easy to control or break, it can easily mess with your mind and body image if you let it escalate. So while it is not that serious yet, I wouldn't really advise you to continue.

I see...I'm happy that you are trying to find out more, but I do hope that you take care of yourself regardless of the answers you receive. The fact that you've came here to ask means that you're unsure about the healthiness of this behavior, and since you don't feel comfortable engaging in it why not think up some alternatives instead?

Perhaps you can try rationing the chocolates in proportion with your exercise/dietary habits, eating only enough to burn naturally without putting on weight. Or perhaps you can try healthier snacks, with less salt, less preservatives and less sugar?

it's not bullimia but it's still an eating disorder. either eat it, or don't tempt yourself with it. if you feel guilty after eating it, learn portion control and do extra exercise to burn off the chocolate.

Re: Is this the same as bulimia

Nope, it isn't. Bullimia happens when a "guilt" feeling of eating happens and the person force-puke the food ingested earlier on.

My friend, sadly, has succumbed to bullimia. Don't follow her footsteps, love yourself.

Did you puke out or spit out? If you didn't swallow, then its not bulimia. Take care yeah.
