Hi my brother in law bought a Wii set from a certain shop from J8 (which i am totally strongly against but fail to told him earlier) for $580 korean set and plus another $60 for a 256mb mem card.. too expensive & got CHOP rite?

256MB memory card for gamecube game only. outside only sell $35...
korean wii flash english soft mod wii market price is $345...
ur price is too expensive

Hmm J8 there the one beside the cinema? 580 even a local set is not that ex. My wife bro brought a local set at AMK with addition controller and games at 520. I think the seller must have been sharpening his parang behind the shop.

Well not everyone will enjoy spending the time to do so. Some ppl will grab on impulse Some people will look around or spend time to research. So i guess if one act on impulse sure kana Parang and Axe one.

Lol, Korean wii is the way to go. Price for Korean wii is going to rise soon as the currency is going up meaning it will be more expensive to import it.

My bro in law really busy everyday working till late night so no time go check out forum and went by j8 shop so thought of buying for wife and child. Sadly he did't ask me earlier then it would be avoided

Btw will the online software update affect the mod set? Like cant play ahem games anymore

Best do not update at all if you're using Hardmod + 3.2U it is stable for mostly all the games. I think if u update to 3.4U semi brick your Wii. <==Maybe i wrong but i know now most stable is 3.2U.

some games like animal crossing will prompt to update to 3.4U, but its okay if you're in 3.4U, just get your vendor to downgrade it back to 3.2U for it. should be done FOC. so no worries
