Default Jatukam Amulet help!

I have recently got a Jatukam amulet, together it comes with a Rahu on the back of the amulet. Its been chanted by the monk and I wore it the 1st day things started to change alot.

Examples:
Some random MacDonald staff chatted casual stuffs with me at the counter
2 girls i fancy talked to me on msn suddenly, one still give me her number suddenly.
Secondary school friend talked to me and suggested to hold up a gathering.

Okay, enough about that. But what I want to know is, is there any chanting I can do for Jatukam and Rahu?

Things I wish you all can help me:

Chanting for Jatukam and Rahu.- Because I usually hold the amulet in my hands and speak in english worship.

Offerings - Are offerings only for statues and offering for amulets still will work? Because I'm a smoker I don't mind offering ciggerettes and drinks to Jatukam.

Hope to seek your advices.

Not a good thing to offer ciggarettes or drinks. It is not Buddhist. It is a modern corruption.

Incense should be used instead. Keep it Holy and Sacred.

Oh I was told that ciggerettes and coke were included in the offerings, black incense and flowers too.

To Ritual and Jayson, I seriously think that you guys shouldn't get the amulets because of what I said, you should follow your heart. If you simply want to enhance your social life there are many things you can do about it and not depend on an amulet.

Its about the faith and believe.I got my amulet without much influence from other people. Seriously I woke up last few days and just somehow I have this urge to get an thai amulet. There are many 'better' holy amulets there but I still chose my current one because of the 'feeling' I had inside me.

Agreed. Like what I say its the faith and believe. Someone who contains greed in his heart will less likely receive anything from the gods. *personal opinion*

Coke, flowers or fruits and incense is okay. No ciggerettes.
Ciggerettes is corrupt and is also full of unatural chemicals. Keep it natural and clean.

hehehehe can understand bro.....your sentence abit difficult to complete leh

I try.....

Well worshipping your amulet with offerings is fine but it is not commonly done. However, if you do have an altar at home, you can keep your amulet there with the offerings etc.

How to pray? Very easy way to pray to any holy thai object; "Namo tassa bhagvato .........3x".

There are specific kathas for worship but bro they may defer from maker to maker and purpose.

Hope my two cents worth helps.

Bro do you know the do's and don'ts when wearing the amulet?

Since this is your first amulet, just thought of asking you.....hope u dun mind bro ......

Is this reply for me? haha. Well okay my monk over there told me that people like us chant the katha 1000 times also cannot compare to his one time Because our spiritual strength too weak. He did give me a chant which is for request and he told me I can use it for 'emergency' requests.

Every week, I go back to the place where I got my amulet and give offerings to the Jatukam Statue over there. I will also ask the monk to bless my amulet again. Then I speak to my amulet around 2-3 times a day usually before and after bed. I would cup the amulet in my both hands and worship to Jatukam and Rahu with my own language.

Its the 'heart and faith' we have afterall right?

Do's n Don't ?I really don't know much, so this is what I actually do.

Don't:
1)Do not place the amulet on the floor, or anywhere dirty or beneath human feet.
2)Do not curse other people parents
3)Take out the amulet when I bathing or have close body contact with woman.
4)Respect the amulet more than a police respects his beret or crest.

Do:
1)I play the youtube thai chants for at least once every 3 days.
2)I really don't know anymore! But I know I give my 100% faith and believe to Jatukam and Rahu.

The monk there like very busy, then he only knows how to speak thai. And the translator are like also always very busy then I don't want to disturb the monk so I never ask those complicated questions.

But there are more things that happened after I got the amulet, which if I write here, many will disbelief and say I talk rubbish so I rather keep mum about it.

You are quite a funny guy - liked to read that post, as I see you are serious to gain in faith.[
You shouldn't talk about the things that happened to you, alhtough I ensure you that I believe you
Once you talk you will loose faith, just let it be like it is. You noticed and that was it.

About the chanting, playing a chant is ok but should not replace your own spiritual practise. As you wrote - your monk gave you good advice (guess with a smile). He doesn't wanted to show of that he has more power but invite you to develop more, as what he spoke is true.

1. Find out at least what the namo means
2. Find out what you have to do (imagine or concentrate on) while you chant the namo - or the Buddhang Saranag gachami.

I ensure you this will lead the way to the right source

Don't forget the Jatukam brothers are powerful deities but they too served the Buddha.
Therefor they should stand below a Buddha.
There have been a hype in Jatukam recent years, the main reason is that they are southern deities of my country and that there has been unrest (and war) for years. So of fear the people were seraching refuge and as Jatukam are very protective the hype were born and it got big business too - but still there are powerful amulets out there.

For example - as I had Jatukam even from unknown source as there were no hints from which temple and as I got them from monk-friends - ... well I had them like sand on the beach.

Couple of month ago I wanted to sort some out and opened them in order to find out more data (hard to say for me but the truth, there is a lot of fake around), the power while I touched them bare without case went through my bones like a flash.
Well I put them back to my place of worship.

I was impressed.

Keep going boy, your heart is on the right place.

Oh that was quick, at the moment I still have about 5 or so - but that time I had 30 more.
As I had to many it has been my habbit to give - who was in need.

forgot:
my one is Wat Mahatat, Nakhon Si Tamarat and is of Lek Lai Nam Pee mix
The others I still don't know. But how I said somewhere already - never underestimate easy looking or ugly amulet - they are mostly the best and more likely to be original.
The power of the monk and the used material is what counts.

I don't really know what namo means and I don't chant any kathas because I don't have them except for the requesting one. Well those things that happened around me is so real that my friend went to get one because of that, its not something you can make up with obsession. ( I scolded him for getting Jatukam just for his powers)

Some people get obsessed with things and start to link everything to it, claiming that because of 'that' this happened. But I strongly believe that Jatukam changed so many things in my life and its really too obvious and its definitely not my obsessed thinking.

Yes, there are definitely stronger amulets. I was shown to so many of them, but I still wanted to get a Jatukam's amulet although the people say other amulets were more suitable for me. I said, its about the faith and affinity what.

Like my friend asked me to get Shiva and more other amulets. But I simply told him if I get 3 amulets won't my faith be splitted? Somehow my heart told me I'm betraying the trust and believe I have in Jatukam.

I do have a statue of Buddha at home, where I also always pray to it everytime exiting or enter my own home.

I don't know many things in worshipping but for what I know as long as i put in my full faith and believe and respect for Jatukam, not forgetting the Rahu behind it. I'm sure Jatukam would feel it somehow.

A simple phrase to describe me?
A 'mad' believer who doesn't know proper ways of worship but puts in every inch of his faith and believe into Jatukam HEART is EVERYTHING .

Oh and to add in, I think that faith can even make a stone become holy. =). So even if mine is a fake I WILL MAKE IT REAL.
haha Sorry for my madness.
