Re: Job Interviews

Hi dreamzgal,

A few Advice from me below, pls do take special note to them as those are very important

a) If facing a panel of more than 1 interviewer, whoever ask you a question, just try to reply by looking at him but also not forgetting to look at the rest too, as this is basic courtesy

b) Appear relax (becos ppl who lie tend to be more nervous) by not straining your shoulders, sit upright but not rigid.

c) Talk with expressions and action. Talk & smile & sometimes show abit of little hand-gestures to prove your point.

d) Walk into the room confidently, as like you are walking into your own room. Do not slowly walk or try to act gentle, as everyone will know you are faking

e) Don't think too much when answering questions because truths do not take long to answer, only lies do ....

and many many more .... if you wanna know more, you can let me know, i will tip you more

Last thing, an interview is a opportuniy for the company (and also to you) to see if both of you can click into the job or not. Ask questions AFTER the interviewer had finished, so as to show him/her that you are indeed interested in knowing more about the job ...

Good Luck !!

Re: Job Interviews

first impression is very important. Once the interviewer likes the way you look half of the battle won ... juz relax the interviewers wun eat u up

anyways after a few sessions should be sick of answering almost the same questions

questions they always ask is why u quit ur job or wan to join tis company. be prepared for tat.

GOOD LUCK

Re: Job Interviews

hmm I'm going 4 an interview too... but I not sure what kind of dress code should I follow...

Will former dress code be over-dress?
or long sleeve shirt with jeans will do?

Re: Job Interviews

depends on the company which you are going to be interviewed.

Re: Job Interviews

Wah! so many good advice. I also got 1 from my experience. REMEMBER, BESIDE COMPANY LOOKING FOR A SUITABLE PERSON TO FIT THEIR REQUIREMENT, YOU ARE ALSO LOOKING FOR A COMPANY TO FIT YOUR REQUIREMENT. Therefore during the period of probation, it is not only for the company to confirm your job, but also for you to see if the company is worth for you to stay on.

Personally I have seen many worker complain about many things like pay lar, kanna bully lar, staffs very bad lar and so on... Unless you need the money badly, if not give yourself a thinker before it is too late. GOOD LUCK

agree... u need to consider if the company is suitable for u.. usually after the main part of the interview, interviewer will ask if u have any question... i hope u do... coz by posing questions, firstly, u demonstrated ur interest abt the company or the position, secondly, u can oso find out if the company has the same vision as u do... coz if there's a conflict, u might wana reconsider the job.

Re: Job Interviews

Most company will mostly ask you this question...

'Tell me your good and bad points'...
Normally ppl will be able to tell their good points... but when comes to bad point... not much...
This can show your sincerity and how your work attitute will be... So thinking properly before answer... =)

actually u can raise some 'bad' points... it will depends how the employer looks at it...
for example... being inquisitive can be both good and bad.. depends on ur job nature...

Re: Job Interviews

Be yourself, be honest without going too much into details - sometimes get carried away = more questions from interviewers

Ask questions about the job itself, cos you also want to know if the job suits u

remember to demonstrate you're the most suitable person for the job to the employer FIRST, then the negotiation of remuneration can come later. and never commit on the job on spot. tell them u need time to consider.
