MACAU (Advice needed)

Dear all,

I'm planning for a short 3D2N trip to Macau. Just wana get out of Spore.lol.
Have not been there before and will appreciate if you could let me know the must visit places, food and possibly nice hotels (around SGD100 per nite) to stay in?

Thanks in advance

Re: MACAU (Advice needed)

Hi,
some must visit places are the venetian hotel, macau tower, ruins of st paul, san ma lo, senado square, etc..
I have stayed in ole london hotel in macau and it's quite central. it's 2-3 star hotel so its quite cheap too. nice and clean place.
I have a macau guide book brought back from macau tourism office. Let me know if u need it yeah?

Just drop in any of the 5-stars hotel casino chinese restaurant, the quality is not bad. You can shop around St Paul areas. Good luck.

I went there 2 times before but still nv really walk around the place.. mostly due to frdz keep going to casino & by the time they stopped, we'll go back to the hotel to slp & continue the same routine the next day... the best I can rem is I saw before the big statue of the goddess of mercy when the taxi driver drove by & heard tat there is a beri tall tower over there for viewing also.. not sure of the name though.. tink overall quite good for guys... too much entertainment liao... maybe juz shop & sight-seeing for most ladies... lol~

Re: MACAU (Advice needed)

Hi, I went Macau Jun09. I joined the land tour (tour agency in singapore), very convenient. 3D2N Holiday Inn + land transfer from airport to hotel/ hotel to airport + one day city tour (incl those ah ma temple, san paul, venetian, & other must go places + buffet lunch in hotel) only S$216 per pax.

NOthing much to shop but gamble only. I missed the beef noodle shop near my hotel last time, quite famous de.

Chins added 2 Minutes and 51 Seconds later...

A lot of hotels have casino inside. My friend tried Wynn & Venetian. I am poorer, I go Holiday Inn (also have casino but smaller). Heard from tour guide, Macau only have 23sq km (if not remember wrongly) but have more than 30 casinos. So you should not be worry about unable to find a casino. Haha...

Re: MACAU (Advice needed)

Ladies ,
please go to Xin ma lu [ bus 3 ]for shopping . [ Senado Square also @ there ]
there got 1 milk dessert shop in front of the square. is MOP 20 each bowl .
Tourist always go and eat.

Gao shi de Take bus 5 :
Can visit red market.
and there is both cheap and ex [ ex in macau but cheap in sg ] shopping in that area
At present, this area is a well-known shopping street with all sorts of stalls selling fruits, vegetables, flowers and clothes. [ chicken & ducks & pigeon is also there ]

If you are going zhuhai.
Take Bus 5/3 to 關閘 .
and from the interchange , walk 3-5min to the gongbei custom.

關閘 , you can walk around too .

If you are blur about the bus there.
you can ask their citzen there. there are helpful to help you as they are used to tourist chat. unless they are rushing
but i suggest , tourist try to avoid the peak morning and evening traffic periods when people crowd onto buses to go to work or return home. All bus stop signs have bus route descriptions in both Chinese and Portuguese.

There is 2 bus company.
1 Company must use cash to pay.
Another company can use macau version ezlink .

I recommend you to purchase ezlink if you are staying there for quite long .
Because.

There let you drop @ the wrong bus stop.
If you take the same bus within 10min .
you don't have to pay Mop 2.5 back .
WAAKKAKAKAKAAKA !

Recommend food :
CHAR SIEW CHEONG FAN ~
PIGEON ~ [ shao er ]

Lastly ,
I LOVE KOWLOON MILK + TANG SHUI WKAKAKAKAKA

If you intend to stay in macau ,
is good LOL

Education is free until form 6 [ if i not wrong ]
if you get the resident card .
Macau provide free basic medical care to resident [ Basic ] - health centres/hositpal.
AND MONEY PER YEAR[around SGD 1000 ]. - . Last year , 5000mop , this year 6000mop hahahahx !

There is 1 chinese doctor in xin ma lu , behind the big drum history shop .also free de
