Summer, I'd like Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand!

Can go to a tropical beach fun! You can get a lot of snacks!

Can see many famous buildings!

Re: Malaysia as your choice

Nothing is really so important when you are on holiday but I recommend these places for your family as first-timers:

1) Kuala Lumpur
- Twin Towers & the Aquaria
- National Zoo & the Museum of Indigenous People (Orang Asli Museum)
- Bukit Bintang for shopping and arabic food. Starhill Gallery for fine dining.
- Sunway Lagoon theme park for your kids, Sunway Pyramid mall for shopping - there's an Arabic restaurant here called Tarbush which gives a beautiful view of the place in the evening
- Putrajaya . Charter a taxi for a half-day tour to see new architecture, the mosque, take a boat ride or waterski
- Central market & Petaling Street for cheap souvenir shopping

2) Melaka
- Historical town. Hire a trishaw and aks him to take you through the old Portuguese remains, the Baby & Nyonya House and Kampung Sentosa
- On the way back, stop at Ayer Keroh for the Crocodile Farm and/or Mini Malaysia

3) Cameron Highlands
- Agricultural highland, tea plantation

4) Langkawi
- stay in a nice beach resort, those at Tanjung Rhu are the quietest
- cable car ride up to the mountains
- cultural tour of the island - Makam Mahsuri etc. You can have the hotel arrange it for you.

5) Penang
- stay in a nice beach resort at Batu Ferringhi
- Visit the Burmese temple, the Indian temple, the Kek Lok Si temple
- cable car ride up to the mountains

6) Pulau Redang / Pulau Tioman for snorkelling for nice beach

Travel deals sizzle up vacations! This travel website is promoting the Natas Fair and is offering two packages at Sunway Hotels and Resorts in Kuala Lumpur from now till 30th September 2010 with the travel date from now till 10th December 2010. They are also offering Berjaya Times Square Private Service Apartments from now till 31st October 2010 and the travel period is from now till 31st December 2010.

Re: Malaysia as your choice

i dont like west m'sia islands cos they are difficult to access or too commercialised. after all, they dont have a lot of islands, unlike thailand or indonesia. east m'sia dont need to say, too ulu and far.

land-based, only KL is worth going. got resorts, shopping, excellent food, great nightlife, pirate dvds, street crime, awesome!

malacca is a day trip thing.
penang is too damn far away, even if you fly.
cameron highlands is a ripoff - only the cool mountain air is nice, but go all the way there on a risky coach? no thanks!
genting we dont need anymore. got 2 casinos in SG. and those i wont even go.

Re: Malaysia as your choice

I decided to visit Malaysia again this December and probably spend my work holiday which is from December 26 to 31 in Malaysia. It really is nice that SCC would give a work holiday considering that our neighboring offices are going to be stuck at work during those dates.

I am planning not to go on a shopping mode this time though, as I would want to experience what it really is like because much of my stays here are always ending up to be shopping sprees.
