Default Marine engineering = Navy

I just got my result and its Marine engineering. The problem is I am not sure whether Marine engineering would be related to the Navy SAF programme. I need more information about the 2 and I have tried to call the navy hotline but its not working.

If i graduate, would I miss a career of going out to see as a marine engineer as i have to furfill the service that i had to do because of the joint poly-SAF scheme.

I need some help on both aspects as I am confuse whether I should go for the navy SAF scheme

if I dont apply for the scholarship and when its time i serve for my national servie, is there a high chance that i get into the navy cause the navy and my course are kind of related. So i want to get into the navy instead of the army

Not a good idea. Some people I know have signed up for this scheme and in the end they regretted it. You have to give it a serious thought, whether it is really what you want. The perks on the surface looks so attractive, but then when you are in the system, it is entirely different. I was previously from Navy.
