Marketing for an educational curriculum

Dear Friends,
I am hoping to market an educational curriculum on marketing, and I hope to learn and tap on those with marketing and coordinating ability. I will regulate the venue, tuition and administration. Thank you, for now, this is the best I can tell, for the curriculum remains confidential.

With love and compassion,
Brian

Re: Marketing for an educational curriculum

Firstly, do gauge yourself if you have the ability to market a product, which in this case, is a type of tuition that develop people in social communication, by being a knowledge reservoir. The idea is to market the product cheaply and economically, finding creative avenues, and hoping institutionalised network can also be of assistance. Therefore, we need viable ideas, and to act upon good conceptual profit to encapsulate popularity for the tuition venture.

Well, you need an idea.

You need to pass me a contact like email and handphone.

You need to meet me up, and if we pass the ethical and role assigning stage, we can be partners.

Yes, this is about the main idea.

Re: Marketing for an educational curriculum

I can conduct this tuition from my home, and that will means negligible cost, as the cost will be on marketing. I plan to price this at $50 per person for a 2 hours lecture, and we will only conduct class when a group of 6 to 8 people are formed for a certain venue slot, and we need to adminstrate this. I trust given the advertisment and administration, $30 to $40 per person should be our profit, which we should share among the credit we have shown.
If you are interested, pass me your email, and we should arrange for a meet-up, with roles and responsibilities clearly lineated for profiteering.

Re: Marketing for an educational curriculum

Well, the plan is already revealed to you. This is just a tuition, that I, as the tutor, will conduct a curriculum for the benefit of the people. The venue is at my home, and the return of investment, of which cost is just marketing is pretty good if we keep marketing cost down, for one participant need to pay $50 for a two hours session. I do not yet know the marketing cost, for I do need help in terms of marketing. The course will only be conducted, for we pool enough people for one class.

Inle, this is as much as I can tell you, for the curriculum is confidential. The marketing concept I know involves street to street distribution of pamplet, and maybe even approaching some educational institute like SIM for collaboration. If there is any marketing technique, please enlighten me, for that is why need a marketing partner. We will share the profit according to worth.

Re: Marketing for an educational curriculum

If I may add my 2 cents worth.

Running a tuition service using your home as a base doesn't sound like you require a detailed marketing strategy.

Collaborating with existing school entities wouldn't work out quite well. Let's say you've convinced them already, using your home as a base really doesn't look good nor professional. And I would assume you're located at Loyang? Having potential clients travel to the far east to get their tuition doesn't sound appealing to me as well.

Pamphlets are quite costly comparing the amount of traffic that it can possibly generate nowadays.

What's your target audience? Sch school level, tertiary level, uni level? Once you've identified it, look around your network first to see if anyone is already within that group, spread through word of mouth from within the group just might be your best bet.

Have a website ready for potential clients who're keen to find out more about the services you provide. Get them to sign up and start collecting your database, which then can be used for marketing like discounted period, freebies etc. This way, you're not throwing money blindly into marketing but executing a targeted marketing (people who're already interested).

Apart from the curriculum you provide, is there any other plus points that make your services stand out from the competition or them studying themselves? Put yourself in the shoes of your clients, would you consult the same service you're providing now? If not, why.

Quoting inle, you really do need a business plan to have a better picture of what you're plunging into.

Just my 2 cents, please don't flame me.

Re: Marketing for an educational curriculum

Well, I respect this. I am finding my marketing access here, and I think the University, College, School Children are our targets. As I source for new marketing ideas that is efficient and effective, I trust I may find an assistant on this ground, for I do not profess to be an expert. Some time soon, I will make a website to market this business, yet this is not ameliorative success by steadfast measures, as I trust formal and invitational marketing to gain a database is needed. The reason is we need to pull(attract people forthcomingly) before the push(people recommending others to join) can take place.

Re: Marketing for an educational curriculum

Well, seems to me you still have quite a vague business plan on mind.

Get a piece of paper, brainstorm and write it down. Quoting inle, USPs are important in this venture of yours, the fact that there are many existing competitions already. Set yourself apart from it, or provide the same selling point, only better.

- What's your main goal to be achieved within a set time frame
- Your audiences, their preferences, their spending habits and power
- Your existing competitors
- Your USP(s) and pricing
- Defining the room for expansion if business does pick up, outsource certain parts of your business?
- What's your threshold before winding up

It's briefly what you need to know now.

Personal opinion, I'd still feel the venue of your tuition services just doesn't sound right.

Add another 2 cents.

Re: Marketing for an educational curriculum

Well, in my situation, I am looking for a partner who can assist to plan the emergence of a new tuition firm, and is willing to spend good time promoting the tuition as attractive and plausible as true. Please message me your email and handphone, for a time to discuss in person, if you are interested in the sharing of this venture.

Hi I am from a marketing company. Would like to share you concept of target marketing. Target marketing helps you to get results more efficiently and effectively.

Basically, instead of printing many pamphlets and trying to hit as many people as possible (the potential returns may be around arguably 1-3%), you buy contact database of specific customer groups e.g. parents with kids and stay in a particular region. Then, you focus your efforts on this group.

Go to wikipedia for more information on how to formulate your target market

To buy database, you can try databasesingapore.com - have over 1 million contact database of Singaporean and PRs which can be filtered based on your target market profiles.

Hope this info helps.
