yup, but I dun think we gonna raise any racist or anti-religious remarks. Also, do note that there is already a religion thread. Maybe we shall chat those religion stuff on there instead.
I remember what maverick did mentioned in the past... About young children and schoolers faking their age, gender and identity just to gain access to matured-themed forums for the sex topics.
By restricting sex topics, minors will not be tempted to create fake accounts thus there will be less problem on user account management. Though I do agree with what many of you mentioned, that this section is kind of incomplete.
But what to do, I believe all of us have seen enough cases of teen pregnancy as well as statutory rape cases. We do hope that SGClub is not one of the main influence that causes such things.

Y'know why? Because such topics, if posted in local/foreign affairs or SGC Cafe, will be pushed down by other topics that other members find interesting. Not all members find (political) discussions interesting and will just ignore it.
We need an avenue for enthusiasts and people who love to discuss so they could well... discuss! :] In this avenue, we do not need to worry about our topics being pushed to page 2 and rot.

Is there a system to ensure that only mature replies are allowed? Sometimes young and immature cynics with a chip on their shoulders would just post dismissive comments and leave it at that. Or post content not backed up by logic and reason or facts.

look like the mature forum is not complete without sex topic but if we have to look into ppl faking their age is oso a problem...
and i dont think many ppl r using the rep point either...=X...
I dont wish SGC to have any sex topic to be discuss about because this might attract alot of despo, dirty mind or sick ppl to land on SCG and ruin everything in here...
well, apparently those who were so keen for this matured forums emphasizing that it is not just about sex are pretty wrong. We are not going in that direction in the near future and so we'll shut down the matured forums unless there is more interest over the coming week.

Restrict this and that doesn't help... And if you just want to start just for the sake as people are asking, then might as well don't start it. Simple?

We are pretty certain that we are not going to that area at least for the near future. Thus, while it is called matured forums, it was never about sex from our perspective. And we decided to start this mainly because of the supporters who kept insisting that this is NOT about sex as can be seen from the old thread requesting for this forum.
Thus, if this opinion is changed now from members, that a mature forum HAS to be about sex, then I think we have to say sorry, but we are not prepared to go down that road now.

I understand that... Mature section is not only sex, but like religious, or politics stuff. But how many of them really understand that?
I believe if you ask 10 person, out of 8-9 will think that 'mature' means sex... And of course, since SGC has limit for it, sex is confirm out of the topic.
People will say 'minor' like 'tools' in replace for 'cock'... or whatever... But again, does it helps?
So perhaps, opening up a Mature section is not the way in solving it... Want to open, open to ALL topics, not only religious and stuff... =)
If not, just close it... Just my little thoughts... =)

i believe some forum are using ways like making ppl to apply to gain access to a certain certain like sex talk or something. When we apply, we need a certain amount of rep or u r well know by others or even ppl who always actively sharing in SCG(posting and giving good advice). and not those who just cre8 acc just for the section.
We can oso set up a team to see who is able or not to apply for access to the fourm. Ppl like those( alot to list, later miss out some not good..=P) like those we alway go chatroom chat, those staying at sgc for more than a year or more and still alive posting...i think they r good eneough to tell who is allow or not for that section..
although its alot of work to be done. but this is the only way to make the mature forum runs perfectly with sex...=O
I think you guys got the wrong idea..The whole purpose of this mature section are intended to get mature topics and mature replies.
Sex is a sensitive topic and thus we shall not touch on it..
One topic can have alot of other ppl views on it and thus we have those that is aware of what is happening like lancelot and those that post out all the 4-letter word that dey know..
What mature section does is to filter out all those pointless views and this is just s small step toward it..So if it is aint gonna work out, the admin will decide to close it down or not..
