Memories in China

Any interesting things that happened while in China?
When i was in China I accidentally walked into a cubicle with a woman peeing inside cause the doors couldn't be locked -.-
After that I knew why some people bent down to look into the cubicles before entering them

Re: Memories in China

wah...which part of china is that haha

most vivid memory over there is sadly a bad one. had beef balls from 7-11 and got food poisoning. Now I know why they added so much hot sauce, its to cover the odour from the balls which have gone bad

Happened to me in Singapore too! The maddening thing is, that China woman scolded me loudly. Also happened to me when i was holidaying in Taiwan. Also China woman. Guess they are not used to locking toilet doors...

Speaking of memories in china and toilet doors, years ago, when i was in primary school, i went for an exchange programme to another primary school in beijing. to my horror, their toilets have no doors at all! i dont even dare to use and tahan until we go back to the hotel. Weird leh...i though Chinese are suppose to be more conservative? Why are they so "open" such that they allow the whole world to see them peeing?

Re: Memories in China

I had an interesting memory in china, something that's also got to do with toilets.
That is, my camera dropped into the toilet bowl because it was the squat one T.T
It was only the second day of my trip and my camera spoilt and couldn't take photos anymore

Re: Memories in China

don't have a single memory especially worth mentioning, but their road crossing culture is a bit diff. Was in shanghai and they will have a guy controlling traffic. tried to jaywalk when it turned red and he screamed at me lol.

Re: Memories in China

I was taken aback by this guy lingering around the ground floor when we visited a shopping mall in the early hours before opening. Wanted to show me around but he looked like a thug, I had to be rude to get him to stop following me

Re: Memories in China

There was this shop that hangs a sign above the clothes and it reads in mandarin " Don't buy Don't touch".

Re: Memories in China

Went to suzhou and hangzhou. Really really beautiful place. But a lot of ppl though. China loves to charge entrance fee everywhere. Like you pay for entrance fee and the main gate to the main attraction, still have to pay tons of entrance fees to the smaller attractions within the main attraction. Similar to you pay $30 to enter the zoo, have to pay $10 to see tiger, $10 to see elephant, $10 to see snake etc lol
