SINGAPORE: At the Tanjong Pagar Day celebrations on Sunday, Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew spoke about his wife’s hospitalisation.
Thanking the many well—wishers who had sent him emails, letters, cards, flowers and fruits to wish Mrs Lee well, the minister mentor said he is deeply grateful for their warm support.
87—year—old Mrs Lee was admitted to the Neuro Intensive Care Unit at Tan Tock Seng Hospital on May 12, after suffering a stroke.
In an update last Sunday, it was announced that Mrs Lee had been transferred to the general ward.
Last week, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong also thanked Singaporeans for their support and well wishes for his mother’s recovery.
