Gender: | Your mobile phone has more bacteria than toilet
Quote:
Mobile mad Brits are in for a shock thanks to new research published today which reveals that there's actually more filth on our phones than the average loo.
Mobile phone retailer Dial-a-Phone conducted the study taking swabs from everyday objects and analyzing the bacteria found on them. The shocking results found that there's more muck on our mobiles than the average door handle, keyboard, and bottom of a shoe or even a toilet seat.
The study found that without cleaning and disinfecting your mobile phone and keyboard on a regular basis, more bacteria could spread potentially causing illness.
The research confirmed the presence of skin bacteria including staphylococcus aureus on the phone, keyboard, toilet seat and door handle. The shoe in contrast had bacteria from the soil and air.
Joanne Verran, Professor of Microbiology at Manchester Metropolitan University comments: "Mobile phones, like many everyday objects such a telephones and computer keyboards, harbor bacteria. However, being 'mobile', they are stored in bags or pockets, are handled frequently, and held close to the face. In other words, they come into contact with more parts of our body and a wider range of bacteria than toilet seats!"
"The phones contained more skin bacteria than the any other object; this could be due to the fact that this type of bacteria increases in high temperatures and our phones are perfect for breeding these germs as they're kept warm and cozy in our pockets, handbags and brief cases. These bacteria are toxic to humans, and can cause infections if they have the opportunity to enter the body."
A Dial-a-Phone spokesperson comments: "We take our phones everywhere, being in close contact with our mouths, hands and faces their bound to collect all sorts of nasty germs. The images make look scary but our advice to phone users is to ensure they clean them regularly with an antibacterial wipe!"
| Next time, clean your handphones in toilet bowls. They're cleaner.

Gender: | We're biological. The world, this planet, is biological.
A biology lab is never clean.
Now imagine the world as a huge biological lab. Hence, it will be full of biological waste. Some are more stronger and may affect the nature of other biological lifeforms. Some are weaker and irrelevant or emit harmless smells at most.
Shit is biological. Whatever it touches, it leaves behind biological residue. There is biological residue left by waste in the lower part of your body.
The biological residue left on your phones will probably be weather elements, ear wax, saliva among other things.
You can't compare the nature of biological residue with different substances. The AMOUNT of biological residue, can be compared on a general level though.
The biological residue left on your phone is more than what is left on a toilet bowl. Why? Because of the constant usage and lack of cleansing.
The toilet bowl is cleaned more often by chemicals designed to remove as much biological residue as possible. Your phone however, is not and needs no such cleaning.
Simply because it has been deemed that the biological residue left on phones, is harmless in it's NATURE to humans. However, there is the slight possibly of contracting a flu or some other mild illness, but it's not a huge concern.
Therefore, forget about phone cleanliness. It's not in it's nature to emit foul spells and encourage a strong spread of disease.
But disposal of waste materials without proper procedure could result in an unpleasant living environment and also, could aid the spread of disease.
Hence, it is a REQUIREMENT to clean toilet bowls. It is a necessity to clean out biological waste that are more foul in nature. But residue left on your cellphone is not going to kill anyone or make them go "YUCK".
