Need to gain urgent weight

I am 17 this year and have always been Underweight, 52kg for 172cm
No matter how much I eat and exercise (weights), I can never gain any fats, I just lose them or put on like 0.2kg if I do not exercise at all (I want to keep fit)
How should I gain weight easily for somebody with quite a high metabolism rate? Don't tell me to eat more cus I eat a lot for somebody my size (extra extra rice, 1 veg 2 meat 1 egg 1 potato)
I'm thinking of weight gain pills and using protein whey (buying online) then consuming it after going to the gym

Cool sia, im 17 this year too.... i was 52 months back... around 172 also

Anyway i gained 2 kg over the june hols by exercising less, say every 3 days im not obsessed with having huge muscles so i dont really go gym, i usually do the standard keeping fit run and simple exercises.

just enjoy it while it last as once u get older u would wish u would lose weight instead

You should try eating 5 meals a day from the regular 3. Alternatively, many of my 'skinny' friends take Mass Gainers from GNC or online shops like Optimum Nutrition!

It doesn't pay off much if I am a small built and a skinny body when I go to the gym.
I can lose weight in the future by exercising but I find gaining weights way harder

I double all my rice and meat intake. 1 month gain 4-6kg. Clean bulk.

well skinny still better than being fat, anyway u will be going to NS soon so u would have the perfect opportunity to build up ur muscles.

I am looking for dirty bulk because I have a very high metabolism rate thanks to my father
I am thinking of including high-calorie mass building shakes in my diet because it will not affect my diet so significantly while giving me the full benefits of a high-protein and high-carbo diet in conjunction with my already high-carbo diet

You might think you eat alot, but actually you don't bro. and eat regularly, most impt dont skip meals. Especially breakfast. Write down what you eat per day, and list it to us. We will see whether its really "alot" to us , okay?

Dont overeat. i think the body will prompt u to eat if it lacks of energy, so just wait for the cue. normal diet can liao.
anything u try, please be healthy. once health is lost, u will nvr gain back again.

you can stick to 3 normal meals per day, but include healthy snack inbetween meals. Do not skip breakfast, cos it the most important of the day. Load up your protein, you can get protein from natural food like steam chicken meat, milk, fish, soy n eggs. For protein shake, try the all plant based protein, brand is Nutrilite.
Exercise regularly too, and no supper at night. and lots of plain water (at least 2ltr)daily.

brewing yeast. It has a lot of vitamin B, too. It will make you gain
weight in a week. Either buy at pharmacies, as supplement, or in any
place which specializes in brewing. Three pills a day/three tablespoons a
day - depends on the product, and you are there. Good for bones and
hair as well.

Start with natural food first to help you gain weight healthily. Then you can look at supplements such as protein shake to supplement your diet as you may not get enough protein to make you gain weight.

To gain weight, you need to have a calorie surplus, which means you take in more calories than you expend.

If you have an active lifestyle, you will need more calories than someone who is having a sedentary lifestyle (read: sibeh nua). So to have calories surplus, you really have to eat more. If you are not gaining weight, that means you are not eating in excess of your calories expenditure.

Eating more may be made easier (or at least seems easier) if you have more meals in a day, about 5-6, spaced out every 2-3 hours. First, estimate how much calories you need daily just to maintain your current weight. You can use a calorie calculator to find out (http://www.menshealth.com.sg/tools/calories-per-day). From your description, I calculated that you need 2285 calories a day just to maintain your weight. If you take in an additional 500 calories every day, i.e. 2785 calories a day, you should gain 0.5kg in a week (7000 calories=1kg). So if you consume extra 1000 calories, you gain 1kg a week.

Some tips for you:
  • Eat calories dense food such as nuts, bananas, peanut butter, pasta.
  • Drink your calories if possible, e.g. milk, mass gainer shakes
  • Mass gainers are not supposed to be meal replacements, they are to supplement your regular meals. If you use them as meal replacements, you are just waste money.
  • Take protein whey only when you are working out. You cannot store protein in your body, so if you don't use them to build/repair muscles after a workout, they will just be stored as fats. Again, you will be wasting money because protein powder is expensive. Check out GNC website for the prices.

Eat more sweet things lor. Sugar is definitely the thing to help you gain weight.
Eat ice cream after lunch and dinner. Drink full cream milk in the morning, and evening. Drink coke or other soft drinks a few times a day.
I guess you will gain 5kg in a month.
