Yupp agreed

But for pasta there are some recipes that can help ya
http://www.grouprecipes.com/88539/cr...sage-bake.html

This is a good recipe you just have to be careful when baking do not open the oven till the cheese has turned slightly brown

This is a slightly easier one :

http://www.grouprecipes.com/81256/baked-pasta.html

Enjoy~~

Re: I need something simple to cook.

Steam a fish. But before steaming, marinate with sesame oil, salt, black pepper, white pepper, salt and if you want it dark then put some soya sauce. Put into steamer only after the water has boiled.

Fry an egg up. Scrambled eggs or just a sunny-side egg.

Vege..maybe stir-fry some caixin with prawns..

Ya, I only know how to prepare all this Chinese dishes, not very westernized

why don't you try cooking it at home once before cooking it for him..
at least you'll have a rough idea how to cook it and how much spices to add.
if you follow the recipe you should be fine.
use a measuring cup of course..*face palm*
use extra virgin olive oil because it is a better grade of oil..plus its healthier.

use a measuring cup to measure..
yes,you have to use olive oil.
normal cooking oil is either vegetable oil or sunflower seed oil..
there's a difference..
else you can try to make spaghetti bolognese or cabonara which is much more complicated..
but my advice to you is to try out the recipe first,
then make changes to it if necessary and cook it again before the actual day.
since this pasta is rather simple,
i would suggest you prepare some side dishes to go along with it.

i normally do not add oil into the water with my pasta but i do add salt..
the oil prevents the pasta from sticking together in a lump after you cook and drain it.
remember not to overcook the pasta since you still have to fry it with the garlic and other ingredients for awhile later.

Re: I need something simple to cook.

CREAMY PASTA SAUCE WITH FRESH HERBS

1 1/2 c. heavy cream
4 tbsp. sweet butter
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. grated nutmeg
Pinch of cayenne
1/4 c. grated imported Parmesan cheese
1 c. finely chopped mixed fresh herbs (basil, mint, watercress, Italian, parsley, chives)

Combine cream, butter, salt, nutmeg and cayenne in a heavy saucepan and simmer for 15 minutes or until sauce is slightly reduced and thickened.

Whisk in Parmesan and fresh herbs and simmer for another 5 minutes. Taste and correct seasoning. Serve immediately over 1 pound cooked fresh angel hair pasta.

you can add practically anything you want actually..
afterall it should be fine as long as you follow the basic recipe..
for eg, chopped capsicum, sliced mushrooms,grilled/pan fried chicken slices can be added..

Bottled one may not be insincere ma. He will be touched even when you cook for him. Its the thoughts that counts
You can add chicken meat inside the pasta too.
