Hi there fellow members of SGC,
Think that many of you have been waiting to hear about what is happening to our beloved SGC pending the many rumors and news flying all around. Well, here you have it, I have just come onboard to takeover from KF and Ultraname as the new Administrator. We have worked out a deal and the transfer process is ongoing. But it is pretty much confirmed that I will be working as your new administrator from now on.
You will have many questions on your mind and I will try to answer the more pressing and urgent ones first. What do you know about running a forum? - I am actually a very active member of HWZ so I know what goes on in a forum. I think that SGC has a great atmosphere among members and I see a great potential for growth, which is why I decided to come onboard. I have run a small computer forums before for more than a year, so I am pretty good in the technical aspects. Unfortunately, I have not been an active member here, and I confess that, so I will need some time to get to know the culture around here and all the various details of SGC. But I will learn all that I need to know so that I can help take SGC to the next level.
What are your plans for SGC?- Rest assured that I really do care for this community and will make it my top most priority to grow this community and to make it even stronger than it was before.
- I have been very busy talking to most of the moderators and I know that there are potentially serious problems in this forums. These include the rules for member status (i.e. platinum member, etc), vulgarities, sprees and transparency. I am already looking at how the rules need to be changed and I hope to be able to roll them out once the transfer is completed.
- Major decisions concerning this forum will be consulted with the moderators and trusted members of this forum and I will make it a point to try to explain to everyone why certain important decisions are made. You won't be mucking around in the dark anymore
 . - I plan to appoint at least 1 moderator per subforum, hopefully 2, so that this place can be run more effectively and that we keep out the spam and trash and to keep in the good stuff. IF YOU HAVE ANYONE TO RECOMMEND AS MODERATORS, pls PM me now!!
- Lots of other stuff I have in mind, but these are my immediately concerns, which is how to get SGC back on track and to stop members from leaving us.
My Message to All Loyal & New Members of SGC: - Pls continue to support SGC and give me sometime to proof what I am saying. I know that we have lost many members to some other new forum or HWZ, and I sincerely hope that those of you who have stuck around till now, will just have a little more patience.
- SGC is a great community with lots and lots of untapped potential. I wldn't have come onboard if I didn't believe this to be true and I know that many of you feel that way too. So pls stay with us and encourage those who have left to come back and see how SGC is going to be transformed.
- I need all the suggestions and feedback I can get from you guys & gals. I will be starting an OFFICIAL COMPLAINT THREAD soon, where you guys can give CONSTRUCTIVE COMMENTS and WHAT CAN BE DONE.
- Like I said, I need more trusted and influential members to come forward and join my team to help bring SGC to the next level. If you know of someone worthy or if YOU think you are influential and experienced enough, pls VOLUNTEER YOURSELF NOW! I definitely cannot run this forum by myself and if you truly think that this forum is cool and you want to play a part in MAKING HISTORY, do come forward and let me know. SGC will be known as a forum with a STRONG TEAM managing it, if I can help it, and if you want to be on that team, this is the time.
Ok, I have lots more to say, but I will save that for alittle later. I know that these are all word to some of you, words that you may have heard before. Just give me sometime, and I can assure you that you will start seeing the changes that I promised. In the meantime, pls PARTNER WITH ME by bringing back your friends and VOLUNTEERING YOURSELVES to help in anyway.
Let's bring SGC back to its former glory and more together. Looking forward to working with all of you!

Are you looking for mods that will help you to make money (and history) and raise the value of SGClub to another price level before you sell it? Meanwhile you will reward the mods with "satisfaction of foruming" and "false power of authority".

paiseh ah... once bitten, twice shy... | i can understand where u coming from. I am taking over this forum because i have plans to develop it further and to make it grow. There is no incentive for me to damage this forum further.
I guess anyone who takes over can be regarded with suspicion and anyone can become a bad guy. You can see by the decisions made and the changes made to the forum in order to determine for yourself whether this forum is good to have me as an admin or not. Just that, by the time you see all that, all the major work will have been done by others who are willing to take the step of faith and trust in me.
My interests will always be aligned to the interests of this forum and I ask that you trust me for now and help me as you see my works.

Well, it's almost the same thing every new admin trying to prove to us. 'helping out with non-profits', just like previous owners. In the end, when problems occurred, they will just run off. Maybe you are new, and we hope you are really sincere about this forum, as this may be an investment for you, but an second home for us. We just gotta wait and see what you can do for us. Cheer. | |
