You can switch.
There will be a white box that is out when you are loading,
and it will say something like ' Is this taking too long? Press here to switch back to classic version. '
You can click the 'here' to switch back. ^^

around 1pm, my hotmail was still the normal one...
at 2++pm, they change it to this...

I am so pissed mad at hotmail. currently I am using the classic version of the hotmail and right now I was able to log into my email however I was not able to read my email. It hang forever there. Am so pissed mad
