Noob needs to ask questions

Harlo (: Care to help a newbie here at the friendly SG forums??

Got a few questions, hope someone can answer me(:

1. Anyone knows a place where they sell cheap Pokemon Platinum original cart? Price around how much?

2. If I play Platinum on ROM, will I be able to do normal stuff like trading, GTS, Friend Code, take part in events etcetc? What's the diff b/w real and rom?

3. If I wanna change games on my DSTT, and I temporarily remove my .NDS rom for e.g. Pokemon Platinum, the next time I put Platinum back will I have my save file there? How do I backup?

4. What's the Difference between (U) and (E)? And what is this: (Xenophobia)???

I don't know the answer from 1 to 3.
But for question 4, U is USA and E is Europe. Xenophobia is the person who extracted/hacked the rom.

1- no idea.
2- yes, it'll work. i play platinum on my r4 and so far it has worked fine while interacting online.
3- when you save on your dstt, they will create a file a long the lines of pokemonplatinum.sav, that will be your save file so just make a copy of that file on your computer or something.
4- answered above.

Hmm cuz if everything's the same, there's no point in getting a Platinum Cart right, lol.

theres a diff,i still think its best to get the original game as if u gt pokemon game for wii,oni the oriiginal cartr can copy over ur pokemon to the wii.

1)theres is no cheap price. All prices are about $60 at most game stores.
2)all game function would work well accept wii connectivity(you need a cyclods or acekard 2i to be able to do so)
3)Yes you could, the data is in SAV format if I'm not mistaken, just put the same rom with the same name back if you want to.
4)(U) and (E) are region (Xenophobia) is the uploader(duh)
difference between them is if there are any wifi event that are region specific,the one of different region is unable to receive it.
Pokemon is a good game, Buy it if you can.

the difference between the original and the ROM is not very big; in fact, the ROM saves faster than the original from my experience... however, i recommend that you spend a little money getting platinum as an original because it's really worth the money... i've spent like 150+ hours on that game and i just downloaded oak's letter today to get shaymin...

as for cheap cartridge for platinum, i think the game shop at woodlands is selling it at a pretty reasonable price...

or you can always search on ebay...

i dont think its wise to buy from ebay, alot of fraud case of fake cartridges.

Oh anw, how much cheaper than $60 are the Plat carts in Woodlands?

Yupyup I rlly wanna support the Pokemon franchise also, but after blowing $60 on an emerald cart, and abt $200+ on DS soon, heart pain X.X

How about waiting for Pokemon heart gold or soul silver next year,
you could use the time to save up while still supporting pokemon.
