NWC wants feedback on wage guidelines
IF YOU have an opinion on what Singapore should do on wages, now is the time to act.
The National Wages Council (NWC), chaired by Professor Lim Pin, Professor of Medicine at the National University of Singapore, is starting to look at wage and wage-related guidelines for 2008/2009.
The council will be looking at relevant factors such as global and regional economic outlook, Singapore's cost competitiveness and labour market conditions, productivity, and rewards for workers.
The NWC is inviting members of the public and organisations to give their views, on wage and wage-related matters, including issues related to the employment and employability of older and low wage workers.
Send your views by April 25 to the NWC at
