Parking auntie scratches Malaysian car with ballpoint pen for parking 'illegally'

Parking auntie scratches Malaysian car with ballpoint pen for parking 'illegally'

A parking attendant used a ballpoint pen to scratch a driver's car bonnet, and then claimed that he had parked illegally but she had run out of summons paper. This took place on Jan 29 at Balestier Towers.

A video of the incident has been circulating on facebook and caught STOMPer Avery's attention.

According to the video description, the Malaysian driver had parked his car beside the car park gantry 'without obstructing the traffic' because the machine did not accept his Autopass card.

A staff of Wilson Parking then approached the car and used a ballpoint pen to scratch its bonnet.

She said that they had parked illegally but did not have any summon papers with her and vandalised the car instead.

In the video, she can be seen walking away and saying that she 'had things to do'.

The manager of Wilson Parking had allegedly offered to sack the woman and pay for the paintwork required on the car bonnet, but refused responsibility for the driver's loss of income whose job required daily usage of his car.

STOMPer Avery said:

"I saw a video on facebook where a Singaporean guy and his Malaysian friend parked their car at Wilson Parking.

"Apparently their staff, a lady ran out of summons paper so she instead scratched his car bonnet with a ballpoint pen to 'punish' them.

"Does Wilson Parking have the rights in the eye of the law?"
