Hello, can anyone tell me if the PEARLS CCA grading system is still used for university entry?

No. But it's a merit if u have a CCA record.

its an extra point la... but its only use is probably if you left this 1 slot left for uni. then e admin will take a look at ur cca records ( after ur poly and o lvl results)

I don't think there's a PEARLS system now. For JC, having a CCA is important as it gives you ideas to put in SGC which will be needed for uni admission consideration. In the SGC, you would have to write how 3 different experiences had enriched you and CCAs is the best source for this. But of course, one ought to participate actively in the CCA so that he or she can truly write such things in his or her SGC. The issue I believe is not the number of points the CCA gives you, but rather how much the CCA has enriched you.
