Total SGC$: 301.43 | Photography Club Hello, anybody here takes photography as a hobby or on a semi-professional/professional basis?
If so, feel free to chat here and let's talk about this interest!
I have been taking photographs since 2004, starting with a Panasonic point & shoot, moving on to the Panasonic FZ30 and finally upgrading to a DSLR at the end of 2007. My interests are mainly on:
* Abstract
* Buildings
* Cosplay
* Nature
* Portraiture
* Street/Candid
Cheers!

You can start learning photography by reading up some photography books from the library. There's quite a lot of books for beginners etc

Sanyo.. haha, I didn't expect them to come up with their own digicams, but looks good yeah.
Don't have to volunteer lar, just take some photos during an event and post it up here or in other forums for sharing purposes

Which brand did you use?
Although I do admit that you have to be more accurate in terms of setting your exposure (film gives you more leeway), it is still an effective tool to help you overcome the initial learning curve
Anyway, welcome to the club

To get some nice shots, you will need to have a tripod as well setting the ISO of your digicams to the lowest possible number. Cheers!

| Hello, welcome to the club! ^^
The D300 is a mighty beast but very heavy as well
Do build up a significant amount of good lens first before investing in a new body... the D40x is a good camera
