Oh, please do and come back so that u'd have stories to share.

Try playing Quija Board (either Chinese or English) or peel an apple in front of the hotel room mirror at 12 midnight and they should work fine there!

Stories please!!! What secrets lie on top of the Genting hill? Need to know. Gee, I'm obsessed with that place coz it looks creepy, foggy and mysterious. How come the story from Stephen King's "The Mist" didn't happen in Genting?! That's the perfect place for those otherworldly creatures to stalk the visitors.

Well, since there're many people who committed suicide there, there should be plenty of ghosts. I did some research on the net but all the Genting ghost stories I found are dated way back in 2007 & before. Are there no more ghosts in Genting after that year?

One of the Sgclub members (I forgot her name) mentioned that she saw monks outside her hotel room doing some praying? Were the monks doing exorcism that time? And after exorcising the ghosts, there are no longer any more hauntings to this day? Beats me.

What is "ah piao"? I always park my car in the parking lot of First World. Never encountered any to date.

Wait, I was thinking ... since Genting's so cold, could it be that the cold screwed up our brain and caused hallucinations that made some of us see or feel ghosts? I hope this is not true.

Re: Post Your Genting Ghost Stories Here

ah piao = ghost (paiseh, watched too much taiwan shows, they kept using this term to refer to ghosts)

im thinking something along that line, but maybe its the wind? sometimes when the wind blows, there's this howling sound that can freak people out.

anyways, i stayed in first world hotel quite a few times, didn't feel anything strange happening. Maybe the chanting from the monks are really effective? But if i were to see monks chanting outside my hotel room, i would request to change to another floor or better still, change the hotel

Now I learned a new word "ah piao", thanks! I don't think u should change room / floor since the monks have already cleansed the floor u're staying on .... that floor should be clean by now for ... a limited time or permanently? Only the monks know. I think after exorcising the ghosts on that floor, wonder if the monks issued any warranty certificate to the Management? Say, that floor will be spirit-free for 1 year?

Maybe there're rats searching for food in the plastic bag? Maybe it's the wind or air from the ventilation vent? Your mom should check the bag and see what's in it. Finding the truth takes a lot of courage!

By the way, u mentioned apartment-type hotel. Are u referring to Ria Apartment or Amber Court? I've heard ghost stories that happened in Ria Apartment but not Amber Court. Amber Court looks bloody creepy!!! Check these out ...

closetladdie added 57 Minutes and 20 Seconds later...

Here's a story which happened to the brother-in-law of my friend's friend during his stay in Ria Apartment: -

During nightfall and after supper, his brother-in-law and a bunch of friends got into a staff or emergency elevator capriciously owing to their impatience waiting for the other lifts to open. Once inside this elevator, they noticed there’s a strange button which leads to a “special” floor and such button is nowhere available in other public lifts. Out of curiosity, they pressed the button and it brought them to that strange floor.

Once the lift door opened to that floor, what they witnessed totally scared the living shit outta them! The floor was coldly dark & appeared to have zero occupancy and, right in front of them and the elevator lay a door locked with metal chains and filled with talismans (i.e. “fu”) all over it; there’re even red candles (the candles that people use to do praying) placed on both sides of the door entrance lighting up the surrounding area with eerie red!

None of his friends dared stepping out of the elevator to check out, none but him who stuck his head out of the lift and took a peek right and left. It’s nothing but the soullessly bone-chilling emptiness and dead silence of the floor! After a short while, he recoiled and they closed the elevator door and headed back to their intended floor.

The 1st three photos are Amber Court whilst the final pic is Ria Apartment.

Wow! Your story is scary, man! My most vulnerable and chicken moment is when I'm asleep and I'd be scared shitless if someone or something touches me while I'm in dreamland.

Indeed! More interesting facts: Amber Court is one of the oldest buildings in Genting Highlands and it's the cheapest too at less than SGD25 per night for 1 apartment with 3 bedrooms and it's well furnished! Reason of its ultra-low rate: Very low occupancy there because of the inconvenience of travelling as well as its isolation (location of the apartment is kinda far from the heart of Genting and the main attractions).

No public transport is available to drive u up to the theme park and casinos plus it's pitch-dark at nite due to absence of streetlamps! U need to have your own car if u wanna stay in Amber Court. It's about 10-minute drive from Amber Court to the theme park and, along the way to and fro Amber Court, u can see abandoned projects (i.e. buildings) on both sides of the small road and u can hear nothing but dead silence! Amber Court is located in a ghost town at the dead end of Genting Highlands (I call it the last stop)! Check out the pix below.

Genting Highlands is located in Pahang, West Malaysia. We Singaporeans like to go there often for fun, entertainment & cool weather (not to mention $$$$ for my parents).

U need to be real unlucky enough to be able to encounter those things. To achieve this, try losing tons of money in casino, come back to your room and get depressed ... your luck meter should sink to the bottom and possibly negative ... u should be able to see those things. Another way is to get a witch doctor to grant & "bless" u with the 3rd eye. I believe there's at least 1 ghost in every hotel room! Damn am I evil!

That moth could've been an embodiment of the spirit of a recently deceased. There's this Chinese saying that, once a person dies, his spirit will possess an insect for 7 days so that he can fly home to visit his loved ones. Maybe that's a lost ghost in the form of a moth and he/she's died in the room u're staying not long ago.

Speaking of a room with standard view, I used to stay at a First World Hotel room and the windows are facing the road to Amber Court. Bring your boyfriend & tell him that such view is hauntingly romantic.

If u wanna enhance your chances of seeing such things, I suggest u do the following: -

(i) Be really down on that day, get depressed & don't get angry. (coz ghosts are afraid of "fire").
(ii) Don't bring any amulets or religious stuff with u.
(iii) Go alone! (ghosts hate crowds)
(iv) Try to get a 3rd eye. This will up your chances.
(v) Mock the ghosts and the place (this should piss them off & show their faces to u).
(vi) Try lighting some candles in front of a mirror, peel an apple in a smooth manner in front of the mirror at exactly 12:00 a.m.

Try Ria Apartment as well.

Good (bad) luck, man!

omg.. u are scaring me! I guess I'm not going to Genting anymore. lols! Yea, my boyfriend was there, but he was spending more time in the casino. As I still can't go into the casino, I spend most of the time in the hotel room ALONE.. I didn't even dare to sleep!
