Guys, I got a few questions to ask.

Firstly I got a citibank cheque from my company for my salary. Then I wrote down my DBS account number, my name and my hp number at the back of the cheque and I deposited it into the citibank quick deposit box! I think I'm wrong, should have slot it to DBS cheque deposit, am i right?

What should I do now? Have any of you guys experience this?? I don't have any account at citibank, so I doubt they have my record. I can only hope they will call me.

Extra info: I deposit it on Wednesday(24th June) evening at around 530PM.

I called citibank but they gave me inconsistent information, first a guy pick up and said they wont contact me and will ignore the cheque and nothing can be done. Then I called again cause I think something can be done, a lady picked up and said that they will either call me or give the cheque back to my company.

Problem is, my company's HR is so cock up, the reason why I got my salary in cheque is because they delayed my pay for 3 weeks and decided to give me a cheque instead. So I'm afraid they might not know if citibank has returned them my cheque. I'm just hoping citibank will call me.

Surely citibank won't ignore the cheque without informing me first right since I left my contact number there?

I know i'm an idiot but has anyone did what i did? lol

citibank shd call u.
else u call the branch manager where u drop the chqeue.
easiest is tell ur HR u lost the cheque, stop the cheque n re-issue a new one.
