my advice is to remove the wood shavings and pellets immediately. put hay as bedding only. so even if she eats the beddings it wont harm her.

Wood shavings are suppose to be fine for rabbits cos its a natural material unlike polyester. But it may be a good idea to remove it if it doesn't serve its real purpose of keeping the cage dry.

My bun buns roam freely so I never used wood shavings before, but the chew toys I bought for them are all pure wood.

If your bun bun have good digestive tracts, it can pass out whatever it cannot digest

i see, so it's fine to leave the wood shavings in there? cos if i use the hay as the bedding, it will urine on tem and it will not have hay to eat anymore.

i'm thinking of buying chew toys for it too, cos now it's biting EVERYTHING it sees. hahahs!

thanks for the replies!

Try to ween your bun bun off wood shavings...it is afterall not giving it the nutrients it need. Try chew toys, that may distract it Or do away with the wood shavings.

My bun buns eat everything, wire cables, wooden skirtings, cardboard, cloth and the list goes on. I used to frequent the DIY store so often to get new wires that the salesmen know me

Piece of advice....don't buy cardboard bunny houses for them, nice to look at but last no more than 2 hrs with your bun bun

Aaaaah an alfalfa hay lover
Guessing what your bun bun will like to eat is a tedious process. Took me a long time to figure out my bun buns will only want hay cakes

Bunny toys - I bought natural apple tree twigs for my bun buns. The things I look out for is that the product does not have any artificial paints or chemicals on it. But you can try just about anything, newspaper, cloth rags, grains....I know of a bunny lover who gave her buns a loofah to chew on, of cos she chose those that are made of the real dried out stuff.

Poor thing all cooped up in the cage...try and let it out more often to play

Yup yup support hrss There are really friendly and helpful people on the forums.

your rabbit tooth is growing thats why it is chewing on the wood to shave the tooth is not too long they cannot eat will die >< so its alright if you remove they will chew on your wire or any other things, if you don want them to chew on the wood then buy a chalk or piece of chewing stuffs from pet shop for them to chew, they do sell

i see, i will go buy some toys for it to play!
ya, i think it's very poor thing to be locked up too. but no choice, cos my bf hse is not fully rabbit proof,u see?

i rather be safe than sorry. don't want let it out then something happened to it.

it loves to escape from it's cage, cos it's still very small. squeezed out from the cage and starts running around, EVEN when we're not at home!

so we got kinda worried and fenced tha cage up with wire mesh so it cannot escape again.

been letting it out everyday to play for a while. cos we have to make sure it's in our sight and won't go missing! hahas.

thanks for ur help!

Maybe your rabbit teeth is growing too much so he might have to chew on things to keep it short?
