Research Survey on arts/ creative freelancers

just helping to spread the word...

Survey: https://spreadsheets.google.com/view...cUtkNzdzdkE6MQ

Dear Friends,

In view of the changing conditions of the arts scene in Singapore and the many
concerns recently voiced by freelance / independent artists and workers in the
arts/ creative sector, I have gathered a team of researchers to assist me in the
compilation of data pertaining to the socio-economic conditions of those working
in this sector.

The statistical data supplements the other research and fact-finding we have
been doing, such as the roundtables with freelancers which have been supported
by Six Degrees/ Emily Hill.

We intend to prepare a report 'from the field' about the life and work
conditions of freelance / independent artists and creatives, as well as issues
pertaining to the wider industry that have surfaced in our roundtables and
interviews. The data you provide will form part of this report. As we are a
small team and don't have much resources, our research focuses on artists and
technical/ stage management personnel in theatre, visual artists, writers, and
freelance talents (actors, writers, editors, crew, directors) in the broadcast
industry. The report will be disseminated to the community, publicly, and
perhaps more importantly, sent to MICA and the Minister.

My team and I would really appreciate it if you could take some time off your busy schedule to help by filling in this online survey form.

I hope you will do so by 30 June 2010.

All information gathered in this survey will be strictly confidential.
If you have any queries, please feel free to contact my Chief Researcher,
Terence Tan, at tehsipeng@gmail. com.

Thank you very much for your time.

Warmest Regards,
Audrey Wong
