Stadium tracks not as boring as threadmill, although go round and round, until I lost count of how many lapse I had ran.

a) Running technique or
b) Insufficient injury prevention (prehab) or physiotherapy (rehab)
If a), read The POSE Method of Running
If b), go here: http://singaporekettlebellclub.com/i...prevention.php
or here: http://singaporekettlebellclub.com/physiotherapy.php
And btw, road is better than treadmill.

For me, I like to run on the road rather on the treadmill. You can see alot of things while you are running where else if you are running on treadmills, you just keep on running with the adjustable speed. While on the road you can adjust the speed as you like.
If you are running till very tired on the road, you have to walk all the way home or take bus. But on the treadmill, you can stop anytime. And one more thing is that, on the road, you will just push yourself to more distance cover and reach your destination. Where else on the treadmill, you jus cover the distance and if you cant finsih the distance, you can jus stop. \
On the road, you have to take note on the traffic if you are running on the pathway around your neighbourhood. But treadmill, you just have to keep running and running. But you can also go run in the park or reservoir.
Happy running for you and take care on the road.

running generally will hurt the kneecap especially if one is overweight.
for overweight people, pls don't think of running to lose weight. |

85 kilo, 1.78 m, BMI = 26.8
BMI Weight Status
Below 18.5 Underweight
18.5 – 24.9 Normal
25.0 – 29.9 Overweight
30.0 and Above Obese
So it's considered as overweight |

Roads will be more difficult that threadmill because of uneven surface and change in pace due to environment but more rewarding, specially the fresh, air compared to gym.

Road running makes you sweat easier due to the more open air and the movement of your run.
