Saudi Arabia: Behead, crucify rapist
RIYADH - A SAUDI court has ratified the beheading and crucifixion of a young man who raped five children, among them a three-year-old boy left to die in the desert, a newspaper reported on Monday.
An appeal court in Riyadh approved the death sentence handed down in June by a lower court in Hail, where the convicted 22-year-old man carried out his crimes, Okaz newspaper said.
The man was arrested several weeks ago, the paper said, as he tried to seize another youth after offering him a ride home from school.
Saudi Arabia has executed 56 people this year under laws that allow the death penalty for rape, murder, apostasy, armed robbery and drug trafficking.
In extreme cases, the convict is executed and his body crucified in public. -- AFP

They should torture the rapist first before beheading them  yeah Singapore & Malaysia should introduce this law

Beheading and public crucifix is best for such a monster. Singapore only has hanging, and its not as scary as beheading and not as humiliating as public crucifix. Singapore should adopt this practice to behead criminals instead.

Wow singapore already HAS the death penalty and you guys want it to be harsher?
You know, some countries dont even have it. The person being executed is somebody son or daughter. At least if want death penalty dont be so inhumane la. Hang is already bad enough.
beheading is like fking ruthless.
But wtf apostasy is punishable by death? thats seriously screwed up.

Last time during kings and queens era, beheading is only done on royalty because its quick and painless. U can check Wiki or history books on how kings and queens got executed. These criminals and beasts would be hanged drawn and quartered instead, if its back in those days.
I read somewhere that the person would be sedated before beheading in Saudi Arabia, but that wouldn't do much good. If done properly, death can be painless and fast. If the executioner is inexperienced, then it may take several chops to fully remove the head.  | |
