Now that I have started working, I find that I am definitely enjoying my life... something which I don't quite experience when I'm still studying. Now, time pass real quick for me without the piles of homework, tests, exams, CCA etc... Perhaps, this is also due to the nature of my job being a slacky kind. However, a lot of older colleagues, including my parents, said to me that it's only when you started working, then you'll start to appreciate your school life, though this is definitely not the case for me. Well... I guess different people have different opinions ba.

There is just this kinda innocence that you can still manage to get away with in school. At work, it's a constant necessity to appear in control and mature.
Besides, working life becomes routinized after a while, unless you are in an exciting job that allows you to encounter new challenges and people along the way. Studying instead, throws a whole barrage of disciplines for you to handle, and that can be much more interesting than doing the same thing you job entails you to do everyday.
Furthermore, the peers. In the workplace, you have to take orders from superiors who could be your junior in age, or you could be stuck in a midst of uncles and aunties. Sooner or later, you'll feel...imbalanced.
But here I would like to contrast something--learning versus studying. Cramming for exams for the sake of studying is simply.....studying. Learning however is for self-enrichment and improvement. I love learning, but studying...doesn't serve its purpose.
So yea, but if the term studying is to encompass learning, than yea I do prefer staying in school.
But wells, studying incurs costs while you earn if you work. That's the only bane.
Oh ya, and I agree about the student price advantage too.
Education doesn't come cheap.

Total SGC$: 191.20 | Sch vs Work: Do you prefer good ol' schooling days or money-empowered working days? I've been working for almost close to a year now that I've finished schooling..but i really missed my school days, esp my frens! Working causes me to meet up much lesser with my friends, and it's so much harder to find good friends that you are totally comfortable with. But I like the fact that there's no more exams! and I earn my own money! So do you prefer schooling or working? Come let's share your thoughts here! :biggrin4: |

don't know you guys understand what i'm trying to say haha.
i think this what human life is all about huh? haha..

I have been working for the past 4 yrs, and till today I still miss my ITE life. Carefree, rowdy and always playing truant. Yet I have to say that I prefer working because I learn much more in the work environment than the school environment.
The ability to chose my own industry, my own life is the reason why I prefer working life.
