SGC Bowling outing
Time: 2.30pm (Start of event)
Price: $13 (Inclusive of $1 for shoes) and $12 (for those that have bowling shoes)
Location: Kim Seng Starbowl oppo Great World City
Meeting place: 2pm at Great World City. Someone will lead you all
to Kim Seng Starbowl.
Free Shuttle Services: Great World City (Zion Entrance) to Marriott Hotel & Orchard Boulevard at 20-30 minutes interval.

Game format: 8 pin tap 3 game series. As long as you are able to knock down 8 pins and above it will be counted as a strike. If you manage to hit only 7 pins and below, then you need to try to spare the remaining and the score for the sparing will be as per normal. The winner will be the one with the highest score for the 3 games series. It will be a individual event but you all will be bowling with your friends. This will not be too competitive as prizes will not be revealed for the top bowler untill that day itself. I am encouraging a friendly event, although it's bowling on individual scores but there will be 4 bowlers per lane and I will allocate the bowlers to the lanes. So do let me know before hand who you all want to be with etc

After much planning and discussion with some of the bowling alleys, I manage to acquire 8-10 lanes(depending on the number of turnouts) from Kim Seng Star Bowl to hold this event.This event will be held at Kim Seng Starbowl is because it's in the most middle of Singapore that I can find to be fair to those living in the north south east west of Singapore.

There is a shuttle bus from orchard to Great World City and upon reaching Great World City, Kim Seng Starbowl can be accessible by the linked overhead brigde so you all no need to jay-walk =) This outing is for all SGC forumers who are interested and it's a chance for a gathering and fun time together and by this even I am hoping that it might pull everyone closer to each others, make new friends etc.

This event will be a 8 pin tap as it will be easier for the girls and people who find it hard to bowl and more challanging for people who can bowl so please do compromise abit. =)

It will be $3 per game total up to $9+$1(shoe rental) remaining $2-$3 will be channeled into prize fund depending on number of turnouts. I will NOT disclose the prize untill that day itself and the prize will not be a huge one, just a bonus instead.

maybe u can explain more on the 8-pin tap format to let the pple have a better understanding so that more pple can participate?

From yr game format.. they are charging $4 per game which is quite high.. & it's not on competitive level or even fun bowl level? And more over u book 8 - 10 lane? for 4 bowler per lane? Bro, not to pour cold water.. but u sure u can get so many bowler from SGC?

Normally, just get someone who really frequent Kim Seng or a league bowler there to book the lane.. the rate will be $3.. dun need any 8-pin tap thingy.. just bowling for fun is it?

Sorry.. just clearing my doubt.. no offence... I'm a bowler too.. just that, spend too much $$$ on bowlin that I restrain myself sometime... lolx... :biggrin4:

i am a bowler at kim seng. I am getting the lane at cheaper price. but i need to accumulate some money for the prize you see.. each person that go will have to contribute about 1-3 bucks depending on the prize. As I say.. go there to bowl for fun..not for the prize. it shoud be a friendly outing not a competitive one..the prize is just a bonus.

There will not be many bowlers on that day itself..maybe just me and a few others..the rest will be the casual house bowlers. So the prize will not be huge.

on your doubts of getting enough participants... i believe.. i do have enough friends in SGC to support me right?? =))
