With Father's Day coming up this Sun, we thought that we should try to encourage everyone to remember your Fathers and to celebrate the day with them. As such, we will be conducting a simple Father's Day Contest! Contest
Submit a recent picture taken with your father and write a one-line dedication to your father. That's it!
Prizes: Top 3 dedications will each win S$20 so you can bring your fathers out for a treat!!
We have deliberately made it so that you will get a higher chance of winning instead of one single big winner. So quickly submit your entries today!!
Pls post all pictures along with dedications here on this thread. Rules- Dedication must be original and not copied from somewhere.
- Winners will be paid via online transfer using DBS/POSB account.
- We reserve the right to cancel the contest if there are less than 15 entries.
- Closing date: 20 Jun 09, 8PM.

we are thinking of compiling all submissions into a nice page dedicated to our Fathers, so hopefully everyone can participate and do something nice for your dads too.

i dont live with my parents,
so i rarely see my daddy.
and worse,
i don't have a photo taken with him at all,
except those when i'm still super young.
although i'm not living with him,
and i rarely see him,
i love my daddy a lot.
he always blame himself for his incompetency.
he blames himself for not being able to give me the best of the best.
but i can see,
he works doubly hard just to give me what he can.
he's not a superman,
but he's wonderful.
when i do badly at school,
he'll tell me to work harder.
when i failed at relationships,
he'll tell me that he loves me.
daddy assures me that he's always there for me.
he told me, "even if the world is left with no other guys around to love you like how you deserve, don't forget you've got daddy."
he pinned all his hopes on me.
he has never whacked me at all.
he always tell me what's right and what's wrong.
i used to be a very rebellious child,
and my mum wanted to send me to girls' home.
it was my dad who helped me out.
i owed him a lot; really.
when i was young,
he wakes up super early just to drive me to kindergarten from jurong to clementi.
when i was in secondary school,
he sends me to school from ang mo kio to clementi.
when i'm already a working adult,
he don't send me anymore but calls on me lots of time to see how i'm doing at work and make sure that i'm moving on fine.
i always remember that i once said this when i was in kindergarten,
"daddy don't worry. when you're old, i'll buy you 'hor fun' and let you live in a big big house. i won't send you to old folks' home."
i have yet to fulfil my promise,
but i'm still working hard on it.
everyone says motherly love is great.
i guess for me it's "fatherly love" instead.
i love my daddy, more than anyone else do!
