Here, I would like to suggest a few ideas as well as comment on a few ideas contributed by the other forumers. My Comments on BBQ
BBQ Outing is basically for a small-scale gathering from as little as five(5) pax to a high of thirty(30) pax. Not recommended for large-scale outings such as SGClub-wide ones. My Comments on Clubbing
Clubbing is not really an ideal outing for the SGClub community as we have members who are as young as 14-year-old to as old as 50-year-old. Alcohol is definitely a no-no as there might be minors, influencing them would be bad. Dancing might not be suitable for the older members either. My Comments on Buffet
Having a buffet lunch/dinner is more of a celebration than a gathering for people to know each other and make new friends. Majority of the participants might just eat as much as they can and then leave the place without any notice. Not really a good idea after all. My Suggestion on ideal SGClub Outing
The ideal large-scale outing for the SGClub commmunity that is both user-friendly as well as affordable would be the most feasible idea. An outing that attracts members from multiple age groups as well as backgrounds.
My idea is to organize a large-scale but shot duration and repeatable gathering at the MPH(Multi-Purpose Hall) of our local Community Centres. Maybe once a quarter or so to keep the members connected.
As for food / refreshments, the outing participants can choose to patronize any of the nearby food centres and then return to the event area for the next part of the event.
We can also give it a try to design SGClub's very own lanyard and identification card (with forum id) for our members. Helps to identify SGC members among the general public.
Hope to see some constructive feedback regarding my suggestion.

Haha JeForce, ur post always very funny de. ppl discussing happily den u throw in one serious comments. haha. but well that is the way sometime things should be.
Just a few question to ask, i saw the forum polling some survey on asking if ppl wan to bu the sgc shirt?? So u all planning to design n print one?? That would be gd to actually identify a sgc-ian in the public as well as bring awareness to the public. As for the quarterly event, i think it may be better if it is organised by high profilers in sgc, like maybe the owner of sgc or directly personell, den ask from varies section popular members to help out to pull ppl from their respective section, in this way, ppl from diff section will actually come. otherwise, ppl like me onli active in one section is very hard to go into another section to pull ppl to go, so hard for ppl like me to organise a sgc-wide based outing. |

Maverick, I will try my best to join this outing!
JeForceX suggest a multi-purpose hall with games and foods is a good idea.
Or learn from Nuffnang, they had alot of successful events like movies, party, etc..

We can always make it a non-alcoholic party with some light refreshment. The most interactive kind of activity that I can think of is sports event where we get grouped into teams and play some games. When you play games in group, you need to talk.
I suggest having Amazing Race at Sentosa.
I can use some of the games that I hosted before from my part-time job.
