If you've applied to be a DJ:

We'll notify you via email to arrange a broadcast session with you on our Audition server. The timespan will range between 10 to 30 minutes. All listeners are welcomed to tune in. Management representative will be present to monitor the broadcast.

All results will be informed through SGClub Private Message (PM). More details about the station will be informed through email.

Applicants are to be reminded that we're using the Audition server at the same time to allow DJs a platform to test-run their show in the new enviroment, but more importantly to prevent any technical lapses and/or possible regularity issues which may arise. Upon confirmation, the DJs are advised not to change the system and software settings. If there's a need to, please contact the Management to arrange a session on Audition server again to try out the settings.

Announcement Board

With Effect from January 3rd 2009, SGC MUSIC STATION will be subjected to a standard opening and closing hours to cater for students.

Opening Hours

Mondays to Thursday : 4pm - 12am

Fridays and Saturdays : The station will be on air all day.

Sundays : The station will cease air time from 12am.

Note: The above timings may be subjected to changes.

2) Station Air times when schools in Singapore starts next year.
3) Removal of Offical and Non Official DJ Status.

Chat Rules

1) No mentioning of the word - RADIO
2) No mentioning of illegal stuffs such as MP3s , DOWNLOAD etc

DJ Rules

1. Be present for the time slot you booked
2. No swapping of your DJ session to other DJs without valid reason.
3. If you are unable to make it for your DJ session in the allocated time slot, please inform the Time-Slot Planner(s) 1 working in advance or get a Dj to take over your slot and inform the management staff.
4. Should there be any dispute among the DJs, staffs involved shall be suspended until investigation is over.
5. You are reminded to be punctual for your DJ session. Give yourself some time to settle down and prepare if needed for the session.
6. Should there be any discontent, please write a feedback, backed up with valid reasons to the Advisory Panel.
7. No repeating of songs from same artist within 1 hour.

Guidelines for Setting Up of FlatCast + GSC

We are currently using these 2 programs at the same time as we would like to bring a better listening environment to you guys. Thus, we plan to incorporate these two programs together.

By having these 2 programs,
We will have FlatCast as our base for Djs to play their music and listeners to listen.
GSC is a Free Voice Communication Server, that we will be using for listeners to have a call-in session. Otherwise, listeners will only be able to tune in the show but will not be able to interact with the Dj verbally.

So that means DJs, will have to run this 2 programs simultaneously in order to experience our new program lineups. Listeners, at the same do not have to run two separate programs now unless they want to be able to "call in" and do dedications and/or participate in games/shows.

We are currently doing this, as we do not have sponsors yet, and once Maverick is back, we will be talking to him in regards to get sponsors and we will switch to a better server with better functionality etc.

Note: 1) ALL MICROPHONE USERS ARE TO HAVE EARPIECE, so that speaker sound do not get transmit to your microphone.
2) Listeners do not need to own GSC unless they want to be able to "call in" and do dedications and/or participate in games/shows.

Following this guide, you will be most likely able to tune in to our SGC Music Station.

1. Downloading of GSC.

2. Install GSC, it may be fast or slow depending on individual.
Install GSC 2.00 3007, the first download now

3. You will see the program on the log on page.

4. Click on “Need an account?” and you will be lead to the signing up of account page.
Type in you particulars etc, the “Free Server” sign up is not required, and create your account.

5. After signing up and activation of accounts etc, popup for beginner will appear,
Close the panel and you will see the Main Panel, Click “Voice” and at the bottom., click on “Add”

6. Click on “By Searching”, a pop up will appear saying “Do you want to find GSC 1.0 server”, click No.
And if you have downloaded GSC 1.0 at this time, please get ready to go back to Step 1. And redownload the GSC 2.0 Beta version.

7. Type “SGC Server”and click “Search”.
The server will appear, and click on “Add Selected to” then “Public Voice Servers”

9. Then click Join Selected, by selecting Add selected to, you will have added it to your Voice server.
After you click Join Selected, you will be connected to the server.

10. You are done!!! After these will be Configuration of microphone etc, we will post up a Visual guide in Microsoft, so that you guys
can download it.

Flat Cast

Listeners:

Go to the OFFICIAL radio thread, and you will be led into the Flat Cast's homepage.
If Sign up for an account, by click Log in and click "I am new and want to register".
Register your account, activate it, log in and you are done. You may at the same time need to download the plug in in order to tune in the station.

Dj:

Will be receiving a more detailed copy in microsoft words and also a guide from Zelcadence to be able to run 2 programs smoothly.

Troubleshoot:

Some may still face some problem like static, and that might be also due to poor quality of microphone or what. If it is due to other problems, we will not promise you of a 100% solution but will try our best. Static may also be faced, if listeners themselves or Dj are having network problems like lagging, etc.

So if you are experiencing a network lag, while doing these, please try again.

Additional, we recommend using a Headset, and a good one esp for DJ.

For Vista User whose DJMixer is missing.
This is only applicable for DJs.

Here's the solution.

Special hint for Vista User (how to find Steromix)

Right mouseclick at the speaker symbol at the taskbar
(... or Control->Sound->Recording)
select 'Recording Devices'
Right mouseclick at Recording Device-window.
Select 'Show deactivated Devices' (now you should see stereomix)

Select at the playback window Wave and Microphone (if required). Again open the corresponding sliders to maximum position.

Now play your files with e.g. WinAMP (or any other player)

For right balancing, choose proper positions of the sliders described above.
