I'm sure there are many meaningful job out there for us to explore. in all things we should seek to glorify God and live a godly testimony.

We can be a godly police officer, caring teacher, righteous lawyer, faithful worker, hardworking engineer, honest businessman and many others..

proverbs 28:6
Better a poor man whose walk is blameless than a rich man whose ways are perverse.

But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it.

I'm not encouraging us to be poor. but if I were to choose between material wealth and God, I would choose God who is ultimately the provider of all things.

Matt 6:24
No one can serve 2 masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.

By the way, I'm not a hater of money. If given opportunity I would like to progress and do well. there are many jobs out there as I've mentioned earlier, and we can he a godly testimony there as well. and by living godly testimony means we should not devoid of all human contact.

Re: Should Christians go clubbing?

It should be fine if what you do there doesn't involve any acts of sin, especially lust which is rather prevalent in those places. But it will be difficult in an environment with activities that are solely built upon the pursuit of worldly pleasures.

For me, I don't really see any reason why I should be there.

Re: Should Christians go clubbing?

I love your reply. I think these are good questions we should ask ourselves whenever we're trying to make a decision as to whether to go somewhere or not/whether to do something or not. Thanks!

6. What would Jesus do?

Re: Should Christians go clubbing?

To be honest, the answer is NO!
Just flip through your bible.
Romans12:2
Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God's will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.
The way i think being aligned to God's thinking is that clubbing is a no!
Guys u all can find grey areas but u all cannot fool God.

Re: Should Christians go clubbing?

There is really nothing wrong with drinking since Jesus approve of drinking. However, the type of people that frequent clubs are usually incompatible with christian values such as engaging in pre-marital sex and the like.

Re: Should Christians go clubbing?

Yeah. If I really want to drink, I prefer to drink moderately at my own home, a friend's place, or at some music establishments like Timbre, etc without getting totally drunk.

I do know of people who got taken advantage after clubbing with people who claim to be "safe to go clubbing with".

Re: Should Christians go clubbing?

I'm not a Club supporter. But I did went to Club for a few times..
I encourage Christian Clubber not to go there so Often, and always ask yourself the Question:

Why am I going? Will I be praise God when I go Club?

For those "Random Clubber", please have some self-control while Balling/Drinking and so on..

Re: Should Christians go clubbing?

I don't think it is wrong or sinful to go clubbing. How you act while your are out at the clubs is what determines if it is rite or wrong. However this is the case with everyone. If you can go to the club with your friends or partner, and dance and have a good time I think that is perfectly fine. You don't even have to drink if you don't want to. But if you are someone who goes clubbing and is doing drugs, and inappropriate things with a string of guys then of course it would be wrong. So no I do not think it would be wrong for a Christian to go clubbing as long as you can handle yourself in that situation.

Re: Should Christians go clubbing?

I don't think there's anything against having fun and going out. You can drink but know when to stop. I think it's completely personally because in the Bible there is no such thing as do not drink. And it is always to put yourself out there but not getting into sexual acts, because that would be a sin according to the Bible.
