Singapore Q2 GDP jumps revised 20.7 percent, AS
SINGAPORE (AP) — Singapore's Trade and Industry Ministry says it revised slightly higher the economy's growth in the second quarter.
The ministry says in a statement Tuesday that gross domestic product grew an annualized, seasonally adjusted 20.7 percent in second quarter. The ministry last month initially reported a 20.4 percent expansion.
The ministry says GDP shrank 3.5 percent last quarter from a year earlier, better than the previous estimation of a 3.7 percent contraction.

Hehehe in simple layman terms its a measure of all the goods & services produced domestically...to get the GDP they look at consumer spending, investments, excess of exports over imports & government spending..so when certain pple r encouraging consumers to spend, this helps booast up the gdp figures too..a substantial can also be influenced by the government like government spending & investment...but dont ask me into further details, i am not an economist

Nt a good sign if the GDP is oso a reflection of the property fever. Hopefully tis fever will not turn into into a craze, if it does thn siao liao lor. Bubble Bubble Bubble, Burst Burst Burst.
