Ride-sharing apps like Uber and Grab have brought us much convenience, both in terms of getting a ride anywhere and also payment methods.

With most of us linking our credit cards to our accounts, paying for a ride is effortless, and we can get that slight 'kick' from getting off the vehicle #likeaboss.

Are our account details safe with all those epayment payer merchants?
Should we only limit ourselves to only more secured and responsible ones like Nets, banks only? All the information we give to the merchants to make epayment, what forms of securing banking or information and transactional methods are they using? Or will they even have one that is certified and secure enough? How about their employees when handling your personal banking informations?

I hope Government limit the pay merchants operating in Singapore to more reliable and recognized ones like Nets and from banks, where they have been working for years in this industry and has proven records. SO many merchant pay go to a new shop using a new epayment app have to download and give banking details, so many apps can we only have one secure app that can be used everywhere anywhere is Singapore so that the businesses and shops and hawker centres only have one common app across?! So stupid to have so many players in the field its about replacing cash payment not doing business why have so many apps and confuse everything?!
