SINGAPORE: Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong said Singapore's prospects 'have never been better' as the government works to transform the country and prepare it well ahead for the next 10 to 15 years.
Speaking at the installation ceremony of the new council of the Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCCI), Mr Lee said the economy is doing very well.
Singapore has attracted high quality investments and created many jobs.
In fact, the labour market is so tight, young Singaporeans are getting hired even before they graduate.
Mr Lee said the government would continue to maximise opportunities for local enterprises to flourish.
But while the government can create the overall environment, the private sector must take the lead to create wealth and generate prosperity.
