SPCA Part 3 (Volunteering)

Volunteers need to be able to commit to volunteering with the SPCA for at least 4 consecutive months on a weekly or fortnightly basis.

In order to become a registered volunteer with the SPCA
1. Please print and fill out an application form from this website
http://www.spca.org.sg/volunteer.html
2. Submit via fax to 6286 5997 or mail directly to SPCA at 31 Mount Vernon Road, '
S(368054)
3. Different shifts will be scheduled. The in-charge over there will update you on the SPCA orientation and volunteering events accordingly.

Orientation Information:
The Volunteer Coordinator will contact applicants to schedule a date for a Volunteer Orientation.

Note:
Orientation is mandatory prior to volunteering in any position.
Orientations are held on a Saturday morning, lasting approximately 1˝ hours.
The purpose of the Orientation is to inform you of the policies and procedures of the SPCA as well as to brief you on the duties of the various volunteer positions.
The SPCA will make every effort to schedule an orientation at the earliest convenience, but please be aware that at times, backlogs occur. Be assured we will make every effort to get your volunteering experience started as soon as is possible. Your patience and understanding is greatly appreciated!

10) Volunteer Talks, Wheelchairing Skills, Public Speaking Skills, etc
11) Home & House Visits to the Misfortunates...
12) Daily Care Centre for Elderly & Children.
13) Other Meaningful Projects & Volunteers Recruitment Drive 2011
(1 example: folding of Origami to exchange for sacks of rice to Misfortunates.)
