Singapore City Pass

SINGAPORE : Visitors to selected attractions in Singapore can now use a sightseeing pass to save money and enjoy greater convenience.

The Singapore City Pass comes in three themed packages.

Each pass costs between $30 and $50, depending on the attractions covered.

Visitors can pick places of interest they wish to visit at discounted rates of up to about 45 per cent.

They can use the pass to places such as the Singapore Flyer, Night Safari and selected attractions on Sentosa Island.

The pass also comes with perks like free drinks at selected cafes and a complimentary Marina Bay walking tour.

"Let's say you want to create something which is related around food, then you can select 20 out of the 50 items (available). And from these 20 items, you can have a choice of these food items. So you can bring the price point down for them. (Everyone is) different, and we have certain choices that we like to buy or use," said Ang Eu Khoon, MD of City Tours.

Currently - eight attractions and two food and beverage partners are part of this venture.

They include FunVee Hopper Open Top City Tour, Captain Explorer DUKw Tour, Singapore River Cruise, Sentosa 4D Magix, Sentosa Cineblast, MINT- Museum of Toys, Night Safari, Singapore Flyer, Manchester United Café Bar, and Hard Rock Cafe.

City Tours plans to sign up with 20 other attractions - such as the Singapore Zoo and the Jurong Bird Park - by the end of this year.

However, the pass is only valid for two days from its first use.

This means that the destinations and perks have to be enjoyed within a two-day period.

City Tours, which manages the pass, hopes to introduce more packages to include a wider variety of attractions.

It expects to sell 100 passes a day.
