SGCLUB SPREE SECTION RULES & REGULATIONS

• No sprees are to be conducted for local blogshops.

• No self-promotion of your own websites are allowed. Please do that under the classifieds area.

• No new sprees may be started for the same retailer if current spree is still open unless there is a good reason.

• Please note that SGClub only serves as a medium for members to organize and participate in sprees and will not be held responsible for any losses or damages.

• Please DO NOT participate in the spree if you do not trust the spree organizer.

• Spree-ers can request for a spree in the Spree Discussions & Requests section.

About Spree Organisers

• Spree organisers MUST apply to the administrator (maverick) through PM to become a 'VERIFIED SPREE ORGANISER' (VSO) where the administrator will review the particulars of the organiser and obtain some personal information to safeguard the interests of future spree participants in the event the VSO defaults.

• VSO Criteria used:

  1. To have at least attained a Bronze member (minimum 300 post counts)
  OR
  To have at least attained 3 green dots of reputation.
  
  2. Submit a scanned copy of their Identification card.
  
  3. Provide handphone and home phone numbers. Random call verification will be conducted by a member of the management team to confirm ownership of the provided numbers.
  
  4. Instructed to take a photograph with specific instructions (hold a certain pose, hold a certain object, etc) to confirm their faces match with IC.
  

• The list of VSO's will be published on top of the spree section for participants to be aware when deciding whether to participate in any sprees.

• This service is provided as a means of helping members have more assurance in the spree organisers but SGC cannot be held responsible if the spree organisers still choose to default.

Organizer responsibilities (or dedicate these tasks):

1. - Payment calculation

2. - Consolidate orders

3. - Make purchases

4. - Update the status of the spree

5. - Collect spree'ers' contacts

6. - Logistics / distribution of products

7. - List out any specific spree terms & guidelines

8. - may reject unfamiliar members from spree

9. - Make sure that the site that you're going to order from is safe before
organizing. (To prevent bad sprees)

10. - Screenshots / scanned copies of invoices, payment details, receipts from the merchant / seller and other relevant details must be posted so that spree-ers know the actual amount billed and shipping costs.

11. - If there is a need to make a phone call to the overseas supplier/seller, please make sure that a scan copy of the telephone bill is provided for the spree-ers to share the cost.

12. - Spree Organisers should have the common sense to pack the items in appriopriate envelopes/packaging.

13. - If you cannot cope with the spree or you are too busy, please do not organize.

14. - NO personal email is to be used or published. ALL discussion and transactions are to be done in the thread for transparency and tracking purposes. This is for the safety of spree participants and it also facilitates organisers since all details are found in one thread and not all over the place.

15. - Indicate on your THREAD TITLE when your Spree is Closed in this way: [CLOSED]. This will allow moderators to know when to move your thread to the Closed section of the forum.

16. - Thread Titles MUST follow this format: [VSO (if applicable)] Supplier/Site Name + 'Spree' - # [Status] where status can be: [OPEN], [CLOSED] or [COMPLETED]. For example:
[VSO] Gap Spree - #5 [OPEN]
*status [] must always be the last item in the title*

18. - For CLOSED sprees (i.e. waiting delivery and collection), organisers MUST respond to any spreers queries within 1 week. If the spree is COMPLETED, pls change the thread title to [COMPLETED] so we know when we can move it out. Threads in the CLOSED Spree section not updated for more than 3 dayswill be automatically moved to the COMPLETED Spree section.

19. - VSO should try to conduct a spree at least once every month or status might be revoked.

Spree-er Responsibilities:

1. Please read the spree organizer's terms and conditions / guidelines carefully before participation in the spree.

2. Please be pro-active to check the spree threads regularly for updates after submission of your orders and payments. If you are busy to be online, please refrain from participation.

3. Spree-ers must take time off to collect spree purchase or opt for registered mail. All sprees should be collected within 1 month from date of arrival. (Spree Organizer's terms will apply if any).

4. Post your orders ONLY once you have confirmed on the items you are purchasing.

5. You are NOT allowed to cancel your items or orders once the spree had closed, meaning the spree cap had reached.

6. Registered mail is strongly encouraged to prevent items lost in the mail. The spree organizers will not be liable for any damage & loss for normal mail items.

7. Kindly arrange for self collection or meet up at the spree organizer’s convenience if you wish to save on postage cost.

8. Please DO NOT participate in the spree if you do not trust the spree organizer.

Please leave feedback for any Spree that you have participated in.

Why should you leave feedback?

1. It is a way to appreciate the Spree-Organizer and Spree-ers for participated in a Spree.
2. To earn your reputation in Spreeing.

*Note: You are allowed to leave 1 feedback per Spree that you have participated in.

(c) Holding fee of S$10.19 (Singapore Dollars Ten and Nineteen Cents) per week or part thereof per Item, should the Item be held by SingPost for more than seven (7) days;

(d) Penalty fee of S$10.19 (Singapore Dollars Ten and Nineteen Cents) per week or part thereof per Item, should Your invoice not be received by SingPost for more than seven (7) days from the date it arrived at the vPOSTUSA, vPOSTJAPAN or vPOSTEUROPE address;

With effect from 8 May 2009, these new rules will be implemented in all sprees.

Fixed Exchange Rate as of 8 Oct 2009.
All sprees approved from 21 May 2009 onwards must use these exchange rates listed. The exchange rate already includes the 3% interbank charges, this is the maximum the VSO can use, it can be lower but nothing more than that.

These exchange rate will be adjusted every 2 weeks (if there are any changes).


Shipping Fees
For sprees that require shipping fees to be paid during 1st payment, a maximum of $3/item is chargeable upfront.
Any top-ups will require scanned receipt or screen-shots of bank transaction for proof.


Spree Closing Date
Sprees are to close according to the indicated date by the VSO or maximum 1 month.
If cap is still not reached, VSO(s) are to PM Jewlreya for extension request.

All Taobao sprees to be conducted will close within 5 days.
