pre event collection is from 18 Nov - 1st Dec for various catergory, 2nd Dec is the Raceday,
here are some infos to let you know abt this year's SMSC.
on 2nd Dec, this is how we go about (ok, should be the night of 1st Dec).
this year, due to the number of people, the race will start at 0530hrs, so the volunteers' reporting time is also brought forward.
Reporting time:
12am for Volunteer Leader (Me)
1am for crews.
Dress codes
- SMSC Event Tee (Only given on event day)
- Khakis or Bermudas
- Shoe and socks
Reporting Venue:
Volunteer Tent at Padang (Near SRC)
but will meet up perhaps around 10+pm or 11pm at Funan Mac.
Reporting Procedures:
12am: Volunteer Leaders report to Manpower manager.
- Take attendance
- Collect t-shirt, Sign out Comm. Set, crew attendance list
- Familiarise with usage of comm. set and checks.
- inventory checks (if applicable)
- aware of the drop off points and transport
- Breakfast
1am: Drinks Station Crew report to Me.
- Take attendance and submit attendance list
- distribute t-shirts
- issue equipments/snacks pack
- breakfast as a team
2am. Deployment.
i'm Leader of Drinks Station 15 (Area D),
location wise is near the 360 ski.
Drinks Station 18 will be opposite us, so we'll shall both resources and manpower if needed.
Drinks station roles and responsibilities (Crew wise):
- Set up drinks station prior to start of race in Event Day
- Provide smooth distribution of drinks to participants
- Constntly ensure cleanliness of the course
- Drinks station to be cleaned up before stand down
- If in doubt, refer runner, spectators or motorist to me.

ps: i want to know who are trained in Basic or Advanced First Aid/ CPR or has credit in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certification. So that in case where the First Aiders not in sight, i will require you to assist too.

On site: 24 Security Officers
Route: 154 Auxiliary Police Officers & 4 Security cars (Toyota RAV4s)
