Re: Star Citizen / Squadron 42 (eta: 2014/2015)

https://robertsspaceindustries.com/s...tor-bomber-lti
The T3A Gladiator is the UEE Navy’s primary carrier-based bomber. Gladiator squadrons are typically divided by specialty: a carrier may have both a Gladiator torpedo squadron and a Gladiator dive bomber squadron. A back seat is occupied by a tail gunner who also acts as radio operator. Though a heavy-hitting bomber, the Gladiator has proven easy to modify and thus has become commonplace in the civilian market. The bomb bay can easily be converted for light transport. Many pilots choose to replace the rear turret’s laser cannon with a tractor beam, making it an ideal craft for light salvage missions.
USD150.

https://robertsspaceindustries.com/s...avy-bomber-lti
The Retaliator is the United Earth Empire’s premiere, if aging, jump-capable heavy bomber. Massive formations of these spacecraft running long-range strike missions is not an uncommon sight around the fringes of the empire. With a distinctive elongated silhouette that is dotted with turrets and carrying a massive bomb load, the Retaliator is an effective symbol of Imperial might. As such, they are the frequent centerpiece of Space Force recruiting posters. Retaliators are ground-based, with all but the largest carriers unable to operate them effectively.
USD250

do note, these has not complete packages. so no alpha/beta etc. it is just a bare ship with LTI.

Avenger packages are now available @ USD75
includes LTI, Alpha & Beta access.

I consider the avenger the to be similar to 300i in terms of capabilities but has greater flexibility (or so I speculate) but is less flashy.

Re: Star Citizen / Squadron 42 (eta: 2014/2015)

We hit 22 Mil overnight.
At $22 million, you’ve unlocked the following goal:

Facial Capture System. We’ve researched a technology that uses a series of cameras to capture real heads and import them into the game. This will let the team more easily create a variety of realistic characters. In addition, the technology is mobile enough to allow us to take it on the road and capture select fans during special events! You can learn more about this technology at Infinite-Realities.

We’re very excited about how this is going to improve the game (and our artists are eager to start playing with this technology!) I’m also pleased to announce our $24 million goal:

Public Transportation System – Need to get from one place to another but don’t have a starship? We’re building a galactic transportation system. You can travel via transport from system to system in Star Citizen and even ship items (like a ship you need move to another hangar.) With this stretch goal, we’ll expand this system: star liners, long range transports, charter ships and flyable shuttles!
https://robertsspaceindustries.com/c...gar-Patch-Live

with some previews of the Avenger in hangar.

Plus the new Aurora LN (limited) is now on sale (as well as the other bombers)

A friendly reminder to all those interested in this game, but not willing to pump in that much cash just yet...

https://forums.robertsspaceindustrie...-backer-unless

tl;dr - just register at the website and pledge $5 (a simple ship skin) to earn whatever rewards / pledge milestones / stretch-goal rewards are left

Re: Star Citizen / Squadron 42 (eta: 2014/2015)

and we're down to less than 9k alpha slots left! in under 24hrs... not sure how many will be left by weekend.

if you want to enter ALPHA phase of this game, get a package NAO!

lowest pledge with Alpha / Beta access is the Digital Mercenary ($40). NOT Digital Scout ($35 that one doesn't have Alpha access).

we can help to change the non-LTI to an LTI package later. but most importantly get your packages!

Re: Star Citizen / Squadron 42 (eta: 2014/2015)

https://robertsspaceindustries.com/c...epads-For-Sale
We are proud to announce a new line of Star Citizen mousepads themed after the game’s different starship manufacturers. You can show your loyalty to Roberts Space Industries, Anvil Aerospace or Origin Jumpworks! What’s more, these are massive 36.22” x 11.57” surfaces designed for use with more elaborate control surfaces, like HOTAS joystick setups.

We commissioned all-new artwork featuring the corporate logo and spacecraft lineup of each company. Featuring heavily textured weave and a rubber base, these mousepads will be ideal for your future Star Citizen cockpit. Each pad is $35 and includes shipping anywhere in the world. Production will begin as quickly as possible, with an eye towards getting them to you for the holidays.

and under $4K to $23mil

and under 8.2K alpha slots left.

Re: Star Citizen / Squadron 42 (eta: 2014/2015)

https://robertsspaceindustries.com/c...man-23-Million

So @ $23mil
Xi’an Scout Unlocked! The Khartu is the light attack craft of the Xi’An military. Contrary to Human ship design, the Khartu doesn’t have a traditional main thruster, instead featuring an array of maneuvering thrusters on articulated rigs. This design allows for incredible agility, making them the bane of UEE pilots, who bestowed the nickname ‘Quark’ because when all of the thrusters are firing, the ship looks like a spark flying through space. The Xi’an Aopoa corporation also manufactures an export model, the Khartu-al, for sale to human civilians as a dedicated scout/explorer. The export model features the same Xi’an maneuvering rig, but control surfaces modified for human use and a more limited armament. (Designer: Aopoa)
And as a reward for hitting $23mil to current backers:
As a special reward for those who have backed us to this point, you will be receiving a model of the Khartu to display in your hangar. It won’t be ready immediately, as we now have to concept the ship… but as always, we will be keeping you informed about that process!
More Retaliator cockpit concept art

@ $25mil
Enhanced Alpha – We will use additional funding to build a wider alpha test than we had originally intended for the first phase of Star Citizen’s launch. The initial plan was to first launch servers in North America and then expand to areas such as Europe and Australia to decrease latency in these areas, perfecting the game as we improve the experience around the world. This funding will allow us to invest in a wider infrastructure for our early testing, spinning up remote servers earlier. Hitting this goal will also allow us to increase the number of remaining alpha slots. Extra alpha slots not only means more Star Citizens will travel the ‘verse at launch, but that we will receive more feedback and more stress testing. This in turn will allow us to better balance and enhance the Star Citizen experience!

Re: Star Citizen / Squadron 42 (eta: 2014/2015)

from https://forums.robertsspaceindustrie...g-scheduled/p1

Howdy folks!

I'm delighted to announce that on Friday next week (25th October), we are going to record some Star Citizen music with a 75-piece orchestra. It's the Capellen Orchestra located in the Czech Republic. The music they will perform has been composed by Pedro Macedo Camacho... same guy who brought you the current Launcher music, the 300i commercial music and the Aurora commercial music.

Obviously we will have lots more to tell you after the session, but I just wanted you to know where we're at with our plans to honour the commitment we made to you way back on November 10th 2012, during our overnight Star Citizen event, when your pledges totalled $6,000,000. Pedro, Chris and I have been planning this all year.

Here are a couple of videos of the orchestra in action, working on previous projects. While the music is not from our game, the videos were made with the exact same musicians, performance venue, microphones and conductor as we will use next week for Star Citizen. So you get an idea of the sound quality that can be achieved. Once again - this is NOT music from Star Citizen.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d49sMw6wvbU
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M_-NwKkmrvI

really hyped now because they scored the same orchestra that does work for Two Steps to Hell/Heaven

Re: Star Citizen / Squadron 42 (eta: 2014/2015)

Video is also available in 4K, download is ~1GB in size. Listen to that engine purrrrrr.....

We are very excited to premiere the finished Anvil Aerospace Hornet commercial today, as well as the Hornet brochure. For those that caught a sneak peak of the Hornet commercial at the Citizencon event: you haven’t seen anything yet! The civilian version of the UEE’s venerable F7A Hornet, the F7C Hornet is a dedicated dogfighter capable of tangling with mercenaries, pirates, Vanduul and more.

We’re pushing the limits with Star Citizen, and this commercial is our best example yet. It’s rendered 100% in-engine in real time at 4k resolution. We scale everything for the super high resolutions that will be the basis of tomorrow’s gaming experience; our assets are designed with high polycounts instead of having details baked into their textures. That’s a big part of why NVIDIA and AMD have been demoing Star Citizen at 4k! The next generation of CPUs and GPUs will make this kind of experience possible in gameplay, and we are building Star Citizen to be ready. With the Hornet commercial, we wanted to give our backers an early look. If you have a 4k-compatible monitor, select “Original” from the video settings on YouTube (or download the 4k file directly here. ) If you don’t, 1080p is highly recommended.
3 variants of the hornet are available for a limited time, starting from today, including the ship brochure.

For everyone interested in the F7C-M Super Hornet package:
Weekend Warrior - USD180

But OBs can do this:
Digital Colonel - USD110
F7C-M Upgrade - USD55
Total - USD165
(cheaper but you lose out on the Model II Arclight sidearm)
