hey guys/gals...i just wanted to share this with u because most pple r clueless about having a stroke & the signs of it....a stroke can be so mild n u can still "recover" from it by yrself by not doing anything n ignoring it....it might not be wat wat pple normally expect to get a very big reaction like fall down n cannot control yr body movements n lay numb on the floor etc....anyway pls take note of the below warning signs as it can happen to anyone at any age & pls take this seriously n seek medical attention....a stroke is basically bleedin in e brain...no manner how mild it could be i dont think any1 wans to let their brain bleed n not seek treatment ya?
Personally i have encountered pple who had mild strokes n cuz they were not educated about it..it came to haunt them & it could be pretty horrendous by then....just a few weeks ago it happened to a friend's relative....e family members had no clue wat was going on n just ignore it thinkin she is tired or is gonna fall sick etc...anyway this person has 3 months left & 1 would think that in the 3 months e patient can try to live her life to the fullest n to fulfill her last wishes...but tis so bad tat she is bed ridden in hospital n is being pumped with morphine every now n then cuz she is in such great pain
Do read it & feel free to google further to educate yrselves to help protect yr loved ones n yrself in event of unforseen events...normally u can test the person too like toking to them n see how they respond..ask them to raise their hands up...if they cant respond or raise their hands..u better call the ambulance asap
Take care

If you notice one or more of these signs, don't wait. Stroke is a medical emergency. Call 9-1-1 or your emergency medical services. Get to a hospital right away!
The American Stroke Association wants you to learn the warning signs of stroke:
Sudden numbness or weakness of the face, arm or leg, especially on one side of the body
Sudden confusion, trouble speaking or understanding
Sudden trouble seeing in one or both eyes
Sudden trouble walking, dizziness, loss of balance or coordination
Sudden, severe headache with no known cause
Be prepared for an emergency.
Keep a list of emergency rescue service numbers next to the telephone and in your pocket, wallet or purse.
Find out which area hospitals are primary stroke centers that have 24-hour emergency stroke care.
Know (in advance) which hospital or medical facility is nearest your home or office.
Take action in an emergency.
Not all the warning signs occur in every stroke. Don't ignore signs of stroke, even if they go away!
Check the time. When did the first warning sign or symptom start? You'll be asked this important question later.
If you have one or more stroke symptoms that last more than a few minutes, don't delay! Immediately call 9-1-1 or the emergency medical service (EMS) number so an ambulance (ideally with advanced life support) can quickly be sent for you.
If you're with someone who may be having stroke symptoms, immediately call 9-1-1 or the EMS. Expect the person to protest — denial is common. Don't take "no" for an answer. Insist on taking prompt action.
