Survey

hey Ladies,

juz wanna do some survey:

I would actually want to set up a mobile salon; to satisfy customer's needs by providing hair services at doorstep.

Charges is roughly abt..

Cut: Male $5, female $10, kids $2
Color: <$30
Rebond: <$60

It is with cleanup.. but no wash.. it is going by appointment basis.
minimum muz have 2 people each time.

what you all think about the idea?

Re: Survey

You might wanna add more services to it. Doesn't seem like a money making idea cos cost will be quite high due to transportation and time.

Re: Survey

I think it may be better to set it at your own house? Can save on transport costs,
but on the other hand you may have to consider your own water/electricity bills etc.

Re: Survey

i think nobody would want to have their house dirtied. you should seriously consider having it at your house instead. people will go to you if your skills are good enough, and help you publicise )

Re: Survey

hmmm.. thanks for the feedback ladies.

from what i have gathered, almost 80% of the people whom i surveyed with are pretty keen in doing hair services at home. Of course others did bring up their concerns that are almost identical to yours.

Well, will have to survey further till going on the next step.

The reason why we want to opt out for home service is to provide conveniences to customers, thus they can even save the transport fee & time. Transportation for us is not a problem as we are going by appointment basis & of course we will actually group the customers depending on where they are staying.

Dirty? We will definitely provide cleanups after hair services. =)

To be profitable i think you would need to have a rather large database, or customers that are being located in 1 part of singapore. Also gotta keep me mind how many customers you can handle a day. E.g. say if to "service" a customer takes an hr (inclusive travel, cut, clean), then $5 is not very substainable.

This are the issues you would have to think about. And good luck with business. =)
