heehee! i will always to that de, in fact i make it a point to say somehing nice to anyone who come into contact with me, as i strongly believe if everyone does that, this would be a better world! heehee! 
p/s: but there is a different of being polite and faked, so best to stick to casual remarks like: "hello good morning/afternoon/evening! hope u have a great day!"

Yup, I do. But I realized some taxi uncles/aunties actually act quite surprised when you say thanks to them,
sometimes when I get off the cab I say, "Thank you uncle/auntie!" & they'll be like, *stunned*.. Yaya.
