Hi guyz,

I am working on a alternative design of the 5th floor study lounge at the NLB on victoria street and I'd like to have some comments about what students ( and others) feel about it.

What do you think about the environement, facilities, noise, space, availability, openning hours etc etc...
What are the reason you like to go there or why did you stop going there ?
Do you got here to have group works or do you study alone ?
Do you might if there is group work or not ?
Do you have any suggestion about how it can be improved ?

Environment is quite conducive, cos it's normally quite quiet and since everybody's studying you would feel the need to study too. Facilities- although many tables and chairs but there's always not enough seats for us to seat/study. Opening hours although 9 to 9, but then like got some libraries in korea that open til very late hours (students want to study for their A levels/university), can be extended I guess?

I like to go there because of the environment. It's too noisy here at home. But again I won't want to go since it's so far. : ( My school library do just fine. Just that it's a bit noisier than the study lounge.

Nope, cos it's disturbing the peace and quiet there. There was once a few girls was using a laptop doing their project and they were giggling away. Quite distracting. haha

Do you have any suggestion about how it can be improved ?
More chairs and tables? Cos I see many people going to that open area to study cos there not enough seats. And extend their opening hours .

I like the environment there but it's kind of hard to get a seat there, esp if u r in a group.

the reason they open till 9 is that in a area like bras basah will become a deserted place after 9 except for the bugis which is for people who is active at night my english powderful sia no punctuation
