Tongue piercing

Hi I wanna get a tongue piercing but I would just wanna know like is it obvious when someone pierced her/his tongue? Like I know the tongue will swell then speech will be kinda awkward and can't eat certain food, but in going about day to day activities during the healing period, will it be very obvious that I had my tongue pierced? Other than primitive arts in far east and ink by finch in peninsula still have any places? Include price too pls! I heard there was a place at woodlands but closed le. Thanks!

Re: Tongue piercing

For the first few days, it will mostly be numb and you won't be able to taste or feel your tongue. However it is only noticeable when you show it, I used to rattle mine on my teeth but it does add a slight lisp to your voice. It would be a good idea to clean it out regularly too as you don't want food getting lodged and stuck and thennnn infected!
I dunno about prices near you but it's by average between $25-$50.

If I'm honest yes it will be xDi guess you could try and mask it by avoiding letters that mean touching your tongue against your mouth :p (yeah its gonna be a challenge!)

Re: Tongue piercing

This is interesting. But can i ask, what motivates you to want to get a tongue piercing? Just want to understand why people will want to do this....

Probably 3 - 5 days, mine faded after 3 and was completely gone on the 4th day. Are you getting your tongue done soon?

Maverick - On a scale of 1 - 10, how painful is the process??

Pain is about 4-5 out of 10, septum is a bit more painful >.<

Good question that you asked, I've always been interested in piercings. I had my ears pierced at a young age, currently just my left ear and my nose,
piercings tend to be a preference thing, some people feel it boosts their appearance, others just feel it's a nice addition. For me? It really was just something fun I wanted to try when I was a bit younger. It works either as a fad or a fun body mod!

Nice, tks for sharing.

So what is the process like for tongue piercing? How long does it take and what happens?

It's pretty simple but I'm sure different places have their own derivative ways, from what I can remember, I had anesthetic given to me and my tongue pulled out with a set of tongues and a needle put through my tongue (it made me flinch a little) followed by a piercing put in place. The entire duration is about 5-10 mins?

I prefer nose rings now though, but it's a casual thing now, since it's not accepted in a work place.

Re: Tongue piercing

I just got my nose re-pierced today, it's nit very pleasant but not too bad. Maybe a 6-7/10 for pain but just for a few seconds.
