A Trip To Thailand, And Omg!

Okay I am back from Thailand,
And what I can say is,
The tour guide sucks and I pity the animals there!

Tour guide sucks because he's Thailand tour company boss de friend,
So he don't even bother to entertain us throughout the trip,
Still have the face to ask us feel free to give him more tips!

And people there treat the animals terribly,
Went to a Monkey Zoo, not those official big zoo,
I think is people anyhow open 1 themselves de,
Their monkeys are not very well trained,
So they have this chain on their neck,
And when they're performing,
The guy keep pulling the monkey with the chain,
And keep making the monkey's neck,
You can obviously see that it's super uncomfortable with it!

And another was an Elephant Zoo, same thing, not those official big zoo,
And you're giving the chance to ride the elephants,
While I was riding on the elephant,
The elephant suddenly stopped,
And the guy in front on the elephant's neck,
Who're controlling the elephant to walk,
Used a big hammer and gave a hard knock on the elephant's head,
You can really hear the hammer knocking the skull very loudly,
I felt totally disgusted as an animal lover!

I would say that the only animals which are more well treated,
Are the animals inside the official big zoo, they call is Safari there,
They're chain free and are given treats for every tricks they do,
Unlike the Monkey Zoo and Elephant Zoo,
They're not only not given treats, but was abused to do things!

And the food there was oh my god too,
Ate many streets food and was great,
Thought that I would get some stomach pain aftermath,
But no! Instead, I got it from eating in a restaurant!

Day 1's Dinner, Fried Rice Was Sour! Eww!
Day 3's Dinner Soup Was Smelly And Bitter!
Day 4's Lunch Thousand Island And Smelly And Sour!

And jackpot!
I got a little vomiting feeling at Day 4,
Lucky Day 5's afternoon I'm coming back to Singapore,
The rest of the Day 4 was terrible,
Grandaunt, Granduncle, My Family, My Boyfriend, And I,
We'll had food poisoning!

Not that I am condemning Thailand,
But I would like to share with you guys,
Really, the animals over there,
They're all chained up, all 4 legs, chained,
And I felt really sad seeing that,
And the food there, please,
If you're going there,
Smell the food before you eat,
Don't drink the plain water there too,
If not you'll tio jackpot like me too!

On a more serious note, sorry your holiday got whacked up. Like what oldvirgin says, lodge a complaint against the tour agency if need be, or bring it up to CASE if need be.

In the mean time, take some rest and drink plenty of water. Don't eat food that is too hard on the stomach; you wouldn't want to fall ill again.

Where is the location of these 2 zoo?

So you are on a guided tour, eat in a restuarant and got food poisoning? You can lodged an official complain thru your tour agency here.

Did you know that Chang enjoy high status in Thailand? Did you know that the Law there will punish anyone severely for mistreating a Chang?

Do you know that Thai when sitting down and paying respect to their elders or Gods will seat in a manner similiar to that when a Chang sit?

One who can't stomach the cultural differences should only go to countries that are developed and similiar to Singapore.

I ate at their road stalls, drank their plain water, etc on many numerous occasions, I had not suffered any food poision.

Maybe TS's stomach cannot stomach such food and drinks.

Re: A Trip To Thailand, And Omg!

Next time, dont go with tour.

Spend a little more money but super worth it. Tours are normally bullshit in Thailand.

Going free and easy is the BEST. I just came back too, had a great 4 days there and will never ever forget the food there.

the trains there are easy to take but you must find the exact location you want to go too.

Seafood dinner on day 1 excellent!

Japanese food (Fiji) on day 2 cheap and aroi mak!

thai dinner on marina boat was fun and relaxing, food not cheap.

The rest of the days are eating stall food and shopping around china town and ratchada.

Will never forget and will be back there again.

The zoo there is the same as Johor, ill treating animals

I wonder which and where the resturant is? If what TS said is true, and she lodged a complaint and its published, it will adversely affect the businesses of both the tour agency and the resturant.

Papaya Salad is called Som Tam, the best one is at Soi 5 Siam Square.

Not very sure about this because my tour all mixed up and very unorganized, some people from Malaysia, some from Singapore, some even from China, all inside my tour group, and some people 3rd day go liao, some 4th day go home and some 4th day joined us and some 5th day go home, very messed up! D:

The tour package was booked by my mother but I never heard she's gonna complain la, but we're all relieve that we'd 100% cover for our insurance, so we can claim back the money we spent to see doctor! ^o^

If I'm not wrong, it's at Pattaya, because Day 2 Day 3 and Day 4 I'm all in Pattaya! ^o^

Chang are elephants right? I can see that everybody is praying to an elephant but I cannot imagine how can they use the hammer and knock it hard on the elephant head, I see liao also felt very disgusted! My boyfriend also saw it, I still have the guy de face, I have the picture, and the elephant is sick already they still make it walk, I didn't realized it until I get my photo which I'd bought it from them! I don't dislike Thailand, in fact, this is the 1st time I am going to Thailand and I am so excited, just that, I cannot stand the animals being ill treated, the Elephant Zoo I think is "Chang Siam" as stated below the photo I'd bought from them!

Maybe lor! But the streets food I eat le okay leh! I eat streets food on Day 1 night, cannot be Day 5 then sick ma! o.O

Okay, for those people who said that I might be condemning Thailand, I'm not, in fact, this is the first time I am going to Thailand, and I am extremely excited about it!

As you can see from the picture above, the man, which I said that he's used a super big hammer to knock the elephant's head, there it is, I'd bought this photo from them and from here, you can also see that the man is holding the super big hammer I am talking about on his hand!

And for the 2nd picture above, you can see that the elephant's leg isn't feeling very well, yet, the elephant was forced to walk round and round again and again to entertain endless tourist under the hot sun! I didn't know this elephant's leg was like this until I bought this photograph from them! I hope this is not a tumor!

And for those people who're asking me where is this place, it's in Pattaya Thailand, Chang Siam, yupps, this is where the elephant which I sat, got knocked hard on it's head, ouch, my boyfriend was with me, and he saw it too, both of us felt totally disgusted!

And for the monkey, which we said it's not very well trained and was obviously very uncomfortable due to a chain on it's neck, here is the picture of it, I'd taken picture with it too and bought the photograph, when I was taking this photograph, the man keeps on pulling the chain, which is pulling the monkey's neck indirectly to make it look in front for a photo, but it doesn't, the photographer just snap a picture anyway, but I'm okay with it, this picture was taken before the entire monkey show started, so I didn't know they'll be pulling the monkey neck all the way, felt so bad for the cute monkey!

You can go Goldenmile or any Thai resturants and ask for Som Tam.

The Thai Ice Tea is called Chai Yen

Hmmm.....that resturant must be having a bad day that day and you were very unlucky.

Resturants are supposed to be more hygience than road stalls.

That is not a hammer lolx! Its wont hurt the Chang. Chang has very thick skin. Its just like a whip Jockey use on horse to make the horse go faster except the "hammer" in your pic isa bigger version of it as Changs are much more bigger and thick skin than a horse. Did you know that special guns and ammo are needed to hunt elephants in the olden days bcos normal bullets cannot penetrate their skin?

As for Chang's leg, I believed that its a tumor.

As for the monkey, its is chained bcos of previous incidents that the monkey escaped and bite some tourists and trainers. Its to prevent the monkey from escaping and causing hurt to itself or other people.

Re: A Trip To Thailand, And Omg!

i think using animals performance for entertainment itself is already a controversial issue...
