I just finished the 1st book and i thought it was okay. It's more like a romance story though. So if you like romantic books and such, you'll like twilight. (:

I only read the first book though. And thought was great. Going to get the other 3 soon.
The movie was not good at all for me.

I think the book is better than the film.

read the last book...i find that among all the 4 books the last book is the best...the movie so many stuff cut here and there...

King, whose Stephen King Goes to the Movies collection came out last week, doesn’t know how much of an influence he had on Meyer, but he does know that Rowling read his stuff when she was younger. But then King recalls that when his mom was alive, she read all the Erle Stanley Gardner books, the Perry Mason mysteries, obsessively when he was growing up. "He was a terrible writer, too, but he was very successful," King says. "Somebody who’s a terrific writer who’s been very, very successful is Jodi Picoult. You’ve got Dean Koontz, who can write like hell. And then sometimes he’s just awful. It varies. James Patterson is a terrible writer but he’s very very successful. People are attracted by the stories, by the pace and in the case of Stephenie Meyer, it’s very clear that she’s writing to a whole generation of girls and opening up kind of a safe joining of love and sex in those books. It’s exciting and it’s thrilling and it's not particularly threatening because they’re not overtly sexual. A lot of the physical side of it is conveyed in things like the vampire will touch her forearm or run a hand over skin, and she just flushes all hot and cold. And for girls, that’s a shorthand for all the feelings that they’re not ready to deal with yet."

i feel the same way too twilight is quite average . When first read, it still quite exciting but after knowing edward is a vampire it become a little boring but my fave book is new moon. its the best really makes u very heart aching

Um, can't say much here. I put the book down after reading New Moon. And I read New Moon first. For me, the story was quite *ahemflatahem*. But, since I'm not the kind of person who enjoys romance and sparkly-poo vampires, I'm quite biased against it. Different perspectives, different likes.

i find that sookie stackhouse 9 books series is way better than twilight series. those who watch true blood should know abt sookie stackhouse. i got bored reading the 4th book of twilight(midway) then switch to sookie stackhouse and i can finished reading one book in 5 days time. now reading the 7th book...
