I thought it was farrr from the Harry Potter series to receive the same amount of enthusiasm. I tried reading it two times and couldn't get past the seventh chapter. It was kinda boring and draggy and the book just didn't appeal to me (including the couple). And Robert Pattinson as Edward Cullen ruined the story even more. )

The amount of stuffs that are covered by the movie are very vague. Most details they only touch&go. The book would be better, but in my opinion, it is too draggy.

this is my opinion. how about the rest? | lol i watch the movie first before i read the book. so when i was reading the book i had the images of the characters, making the book much lively. lol. so to me the book seems okie lol. i finish the rest of the books too. and looking forward to new moon movie. |

IMHO, it resembles Vampire Knight. I read the first book and it did not appeal to me much. No offense though.

Throw me anything from Anne Rice or Laurell K Hamilton!
=D | Hahaha! I agree! The only reason I was interested in Twilight coz there are vampires in there. Otherwise I also believe that Laurell K Hamilton, Anne Rice and many more are sooo much better writers. Sometimes Stephenie Meyer come across to me as a person with not much imagination.
If you remove the supernatural effects from the Twilight series, you will simply get a book with typical BGR, forbidden love, etc.
Still, please read The Host as it is sooo much more interesting, creative and includes mature thinking. ConstanceG added 1 Minutes and 8 Seconds later...
But there are so many Twilight fanatics out there!!! Wonder why...

I read finished Twilight 3 days ago, and I;ve got to say although it was draggy, it wasn't that bad.
Waiting for New Moon from my friend now, I'll probably get bored of it.
Meh, but the story was nice.
